I couldn't imagine a cronk or thurston carrying on the same way as this kid under the same circumstances, heck even Josh Reynolds has been playing with passion in the jersey who's club decided to turn his back on him for another bloke.
Wasnt he man of the match against the Cowboys and Thurston played? This game was played after he asked for the release too right?
If the reports are correct . . . He only stopped putting in yesterday which was after he was pissed around.

Do you have any evidence to suggest that Moses will ever be mentally tough?
I think he already is - he's 22 years old with 60+ NRL games under his belt. Even if he never gets any tougher he's still tough enough. Every player goes better with support around them.

you can argue he's been pissed around for a while and you can also argue that his form has dropped since the first half of the game with us but it's absolutely no excuse not to put in under any circumstances....
We never had a problem giving it to Sandow in his last game with us, that was after BA refused his first request to leave... so now we're excusing the poor kids behavior because he wants to come to us?

I don't know enough about it only what's reported. I'm not excusing anything just playing devils advocate.
Personally IMO it will only be a 2 yr or 2.5 year stay anyway.

If he wasn't putting in he wouldn't be attempting so many tackles. Maloney gets caught jersey grabbing under fatigue. Most small players do. It's self preservation.

He's a spot player.. the Souths forwards were going for him all night so im not suggesting for a moment that he shied away from trying to tackle, he's just couldn't find a rabbit hole to hide in ...
You'd probably credit the Souths players for that

I've stopped putting in for previous employers. Especially when impacted personally due to poor management. We'll just have to see how it all pans out I guess.

It's apparent that for all the players on the market currently there isn't all that much that jumps out and grabs you.

In short, BA see's Moses as the best available, I'll trust BA. His made this decision because he see's plenty of upside I can see Moses and Norman working very well.

His recruiting can get scrutinised but his done some very astute business in his time, Scott, Jennings and Gordon were all great, Gutherson was an absolute steal, Brown is looking good, Auuv'a, debuting French, Foran was a man the club was going to be built around not his fault the guy has become an absolute scum, and Watmough was risky but he had so many qualities that would've been good for our younger team at the time.

Moses will be fine, yes his been average but everyone can sit and moan about the circumstances are, people can compare Reynolds to Moses but it's different, if goal posts are being moved, contracts being offered then rescinded, you can't blame him it would be awfully hard.

Moses was poor the other night, but was he any worse than their other half who apparently is happily on the bus and picked has up some minties and red bulls for their long trip to spoon town????

If true that he was told he was allowed to leave only for Cleary to backtrack that is on the coach just as much as it's on the player.

Coaching, like any other leadership role is about getting the best out of the team. The best coaches are the best man managers, you can see that in the way players talk about them. Tigers are a f**king shitfight at the moment, and have been for some time. I wouldn't be too hasty to judge the quality of any one individual on their performance working in that enviroment, particularly one as young as Moses, and particularly given the way he's being managed.

I have always said that if Moses comes this year he is going to be a short term sugar hit for a more credible campaign in the finals series, no debates there. Of course he will make a difference to an already established squad and I've always supported his immediate inclusion. He is however not a portkey to a grand final trophy that you could bank on for years to come. The higher probability option as of next year would be Cronk, good luck debating that one @Poupou Escobar

The good thing about Moses this year is it will ease some of the pressure off Brad Arthur. He doesn't make the finals this year and the legend becomes a myth. When you think about it that is probably the reason Arthur wants Moses as he is willing to dog his club at the drop of a dime, as opposed to Cronk.

The most interesting thing in this saga are the eels fans supporting Moses dogging his club and saying how unfair it is that he isn't immediately released, where Foran, Hayne or Lyon must be some spawn of the devil for dogging the Eels. What's the difference? None, it's the side not the principle. This is a business model built on tribal psychology kiddies, and you are all just the easily manipulated sheep. So much cognitive dissonance with this situation.

Or in other words:

you can argue he's been pissed around for a while and you can also argue that his form has dropped since the first half of the game with us but it's absolutely no excuse not to put in under any circumstances....

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Yeh, but just coz something occurred in the past doesn't mean that it was inevitable.

Put 49 black marbles and 1 red marble in a bag and draw a random marble. Ask an idiot to predict what colour a randomly drawn marble will be. He might say 'red' and he might turn out to be right. I wouldn't want to learn too much from that history.
