BA is a good coach and that is evident from our performance in the salary cap year and our top 4 finish last year. Many even thought that he deserved Dally M coach.

All the same, a failure like not making the 8 (barring extraordinary circumstances like massive injuries) is a poor result for a team that was top 4 fav.
We shouldn’t be top four favourites (though we are a chance) but this squad should make the top eight for sure. And I think we will.

I thought brown was much better this week ... a few errors but he had a crack

No f**ker supports him ... he has an offload but there is no one there even if he got a chance

185m from 20 runs and 35 tackles. Fatfita was getting all the plaudits, he made 165m of 22 runs

He dropped a few balls but he had a stormer otherwise. Plenty of power in his game tonight

Heaven forbid we come on here and criticise a severely under performing time, smh.

How can anyone be happy or content right now, we look lost in attack and we are so easy to defend against.

People can come on here and spin it any which way they want, we are f**king 0-3 we have regressed beyond belief, we look unfit and slow and we’re predictable, f**k this club is a killer to follow but nothing I am foreign to.

To many of these players are treading water currently, our recruitment is starting to show up now, whilst everyone has improved we have lost and gone backwards. There was enough on the market to improve.

Didn't expect Evans to look so unco and ordinary, he seems to do his job well at the Roosters but maybe he was efficient doing small minutes in their system.

There is definitely a size and shape issue, and the offseason using a AFL conditioner is an obvious thing to look at, as we seem to lack power in the simple parts of the game , the ability to,control the ruck and dominate with players in the tackle.

No one can be pleased with these first 3 weeks, but we have been beaten by kicks from penalties only in 2 of the games. Trying to forget th Manly debacle.

We played a tough, controlled power game last year, seems to have gone missing and we laughed at Ronnie Palmer ( old fashioned etc, look at the Tigers this year)

Cam Smith held a meeting at the Storm and told Bellamy and others of the need to recruit size up front about 4 years ago, someone should start that process at the club immediately.

Always next week and the opportunity to turn it around, will be there as usual supporting the team, I was there through the 90s so been there, done that.

The only difference is that in those lean years of the 90's we were not expected to make the top 4. Let me tell you something, we will not be making the top 8 this year. Not a f**king chance.

Everything about 2018 just doesn't feel right and I can start with these stupid jerseys that Gurr saw fit to vomit out.

Size is one biggest issues we have right now, they went and recruited the year after.

You have to have forwards who make the opposition work over time, we don’t have any of that currently.

I think our biggest issue is our whole forward pack is severely underwhelming, not one of them are standing up and no one is dominating.

A few points from me:

Bad:
Our halves really were disappointing
We looking disorganized.
We have some bruised boys

Positive:
Avau’a at centre was a positive
Our effort (excluding halves) can’t be questioned

King just strolls from one ruck to the next. But I thought he defended well today, for an 80 minute middle defender.

Not sure now. I don’t think we have improved since last season and that is the problem. Too many sides have improved which will leave us behind. And most of the vastly improved sides were behind us last season and have now gone past us.

Saints
Knights
Roosters
Warriors
Bulldogs (jury still out but have recruited well)

They have past us with their smart recruitment so some sides that made the 8 last season will drop out. Broncos will be one - we may be the other along with Manly.

Well I don't care what anyone else says, I've seen enough to suggest that contenders were are not.

We might continue on to be a Top 8 team and even scrape into the Top, but we won't challenge for the comp.

Having said that, I didn't believe we were contenders before the season started in any case. As I indicated in the Prediction thread, hopeful doesn't win football games.

Evans, Hayne and Williams can all add plenty to our team, but they are attacking players. We need more ball to get the most out of them. Not being injured would help too.

I will do a detailed analysis tomorrow after work.
In 2 of 3 games we have scored same amount of tries and thats a possitive.
