How about a sport's journalist who is charged DUI on two occasions and continually preached to footballers the social norms required?.
Now IMO,
this offence is obviously putting lives at risk ,and is a criminal offence.Yet the person in question remained in the job.SFA publicity.
My point ,people do retain their positions and/or are demoted within an organisation.

Serious breaches confirmed/proven in sport, no second chance. Two strikes for minor(reducing the black and white argument) and you're either out for 12 months or fined heavily. And we would never had gotten into the position ,the NRL has found itself.
A rap sheet such as Barba's ,would never have reached that stage.

The Broncos did damage by taking on Lodge. The amount of public negativity from all media sources and social media, dragged the game well down.

We took on lodge but launched Barba they cancel each other out. So it's all good.

He assaulted his missus on multiple occasions, he is a repeat offender, he pleaded guilty to it.

To which he served time in prison for, after having his contract torn up and de-registered for over 2 years. He worked for 12 months outside football, before making a comeback at NSWRL level for 12 months and then at NRL level. Since he has been back in the game he has not re-offended. I mean what?! He should be punished again eh?

As to the wider issue with people wanting the policy made retrospective, trust me here, if the NRL tried to do it, even if the RLPRA were ok with it, any effected player would be able to take them to court and get it tossed. Changes in laws apply from the date they are changed. It is very rare for places like Parliament, when passing laws, to make them retrospective, and often when it is done, it was announced it would apply from a set date, not going back infinitely. I've seen enough legislative drafting in the last 30 years to have some idea on this point.

I hope Barba makes a wrong turn down an allyway soon. Hopefully he gets a taste of his own medicine from someone bigger and stronger than himself

Oh he worked a normal job did he? The poor bloke that must’ve been so tough.

He should’ve never been let back in. It was like 8 charges he pleaded guilty too, it was no one off mistake.

We gonna run this piece of shit out on white ribbon round are we? What a f**king joke how can the nrl pretend to stand for anything when they happy to have pricks like this running around.

He's done the time for his crime. That's the last I have to say on the matter as: (a) It isn't going to change your opinion; and (b) It isn't going to see the new policy applied to him for something he was punished for more than 5 years ago.

So beat up a female, ban for life.

Beat up a dude, no issue.

No party drugs, test for that.

NRL fascism, has it's own rules.

Hail Greensomeone.

So has it been reported as to what he actually did and where?
Was he playing a pokie and she was into him for it and he lost it and hit her?
We’re they at the casino all day together?
He threw rocks at her or something?
Where do you get rocks inside a casino?
