Not exactly a household name, but known to fans of 60s San Francisco music and the Flamin Groovies.

Mike Wilhelm (March 18, 1942 – May 14, 2019) was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known as a founding member of the influential Bay Area band The Charlatans, who have been widely credited as starting the Haight-Ashbury psychedelic scene during the 1960s.[2] He later played with the bands Loose Gravel and the Flamin' Groovies.

He's a house hold name at my house, Tom!
I have a great story about him that I'll tell you about when I see you. I dare not put it in writing. You'll understand.

Anything bowel or colorectal cancer get checked, dont wait till they mail the pack to you when 50, get bloody checked

Yes I know you had a bit of a fight, hope you're all good now mate. I have recently had all my bloods done plus I (unlike most of my friends) did the free bowel cancer check at 50 about a year ago, thankfully all clear. After my 50th Birthday, with the lifestyle I've lead, I'd be an idiot not to keep on top of it.

My mate Hahny, had a massive heart attack playing soccer yesterday & died.

So devastated.

When a group of 30 blokes go camping up the forest, he is the life of the party, the funniest merkin ever!

Not gunna be the same next year :(

That's terrible mate, sorry for your loss. The old saying rings true mate, unfortunately.

That’s horrible.

I dread the day one of my closest mates goes.

I’ve got a vinyl live album of the hitmen
Tora tora
They do a song called shake some action, I’m pretty sure was a flamin grooves song?

Thanks men, I’m in total shock.

Hahny had the funniest stories & told them so well. Loved his Facebook rants as well, no bullshit & hit the nail on the head every time!

I have a “2 in the pink, 1 in the stink” t-shirt that o got from Bali that he loves. I wear it there every year just to see his excitement.

Gunna be hollow next year but I’ll wear it in his honour!

Way too young. It’s like a car crash, no chance to say goodbye.....
Sincere condolences Cardy. So far I Have not lost any really close friends ( yeah right --I dont have many). Hard to think about it even at my age but 38 is just devastating ,I guess.. Glad you have some great memories though.

Enjoy your mates, friends and even people that give you the shits.

When I bump into my old mates from long past now it is a case of asking "Is so and so still with us? Usually get the answer "Yeah he is doing okay but did you hear about ...."

You start yacking about your old teamates from sides gone by and half the crew has transferred off the planet.

Getting old is not cracked up to be what they reckon it is but it definately shits on the other option.
