Crosby stills and Nash is where one went.
Oh -hi-O.... Under the Southern Cross and In our house we teach our children well. Sometimes it is hopeless but I am just an old man who drank too many woodstocks. I carried on though. I guess I was just Helplessly Hoping but it was just an American Dream.

I do feel your love.

RIP Tim Conway, Ensign Charlie Parker from McHales Navy. I saw him at the Opera House in 1973, soon after our legendary grand final loss to the Hartleys. He was here as part of Carol Burnett's show.

Tom you won't believe this but this is real twilight zone stuff. For some unkown reason last night I was only thinking about McHales Navy. Just out of the blue I had Wally Bingingham coming to mind. It might have been after I saw the report about the UN meeting in Fiji about climate change and all those small pacific islands, somehow I had it in my mind McHales Navy territory.

Weird shit, and then I read your posts.

Fkn hll Marchad . I didnt like his politics or intellect "no child shall live in poverty ?"But that is just cheapest lowest shot of all . Ive always thought pedophiles should be executed and false accusers prosecuted for attempted murder. He had good size ego but I believe he was still sincere and decent man in his beliefs and actions. Also 2nd fasted beer sculler ive ever seen.

I recall an interview he did with his ex-wife & she said he had so much knowledge on so many subjects.....& it was real knowledge, not just a big mouth opinion.

The only legacy I can see for the imbecile Abbott and his years in public will be that he was the bloke that ate an onion. Admittedly it was a pretty big onion, I’ll give him that much.

As for the rest of his legacy, history will always be his judge.

Hawkey was known to be a bit of a ladies man.

On the serious side, he had a vision, he had a good team to help realise the vision. I'm thinking industry development, education, social services, compulsory super, even support for the arts and Austrade promoting Aussie bands overseas.

Early on in last night's telecast of the Wests v Storm game, Gus Gould broke the news about Hawkey passing away and you could hear a bit of a tear in his voice when he said it. Nice touch from the Penrith lad.
