Again though you’re deflecting. It is not like those sides haven’t got support from all across Melbourne. Maybe that is because they didn’t think oh well we’ll only look for supporters in Essendon or Carlton.

Maybe Sydney sides need to think the same way rather than sitting on their hands and thinking the state government will build them all stadiums

So cronulla playing out of homebush will gain support from say Penrith, even tho there's a team there & everybody already hate the sharks as rivals for decades?!

Bulldogs have tried & failed. So has ur argument

Probably not but that’s the best solution for rugby league

And if they didn’t spend 850 million on Allianz could have been easily achievable

alllianz at 42k is for wallabies and Socceroos games and nothing else

Yeah but governments aren’t going to fork out money for one tenant. There has never been a government that has forked out refurbishments or new stadiums for five or six seperate teams. It isn’t going to happen. You have to sell multiple tenants to them in order for it to be seen as a proper ROI.

Melbourne model doesn't work in Sydney. Our teams are spread across the city & no stadium can be truly central. The intracity rivalries are intertwined within the NRL. Just go with that

The teams have been setup being community minded, sponsors included. Most clubs are better of in their area.

The big stadiums are there should only want to move a game or games

This is reality, Clubs will just have to fund their upgrades or move stadiums

What the f*** are you talking about? Why are you even mentioning Penrith? My original suggestion was Manly playing at Brookvale (it has been partially redeveloped anyway) and Penrith playing at Bluebet (because it is not that bad) and the rest either playing at Commbank or SFS.

The reason for this is the government isn’t planning on any further money. Again, what is your alternative?

They use Commbank now too, no real change in crowd
When they moved full time from belmore to fulltine at Homebush their crowds went up by some margin. Their policy now of using multiple grounds in the one city is just as stupid as the tigers one.

Great, manly at homebush is crazy but everybody else can play far outside their areas. Please stop listening to Perth red. Like I said doesn't know shit about Sydney

This is true.
I just happen to be lucky to be a supporter of a club (Parra) that got the benefit of an upgrade. It was mainly because the Wanderers went on a massive winning streak and justified the rebuild when it was found that the 20000 seat stadium wasn't big enough for them, and it was always known that it wouldn't be big enough for the Eels as well once they got out of their slump.
It has since proven to be a great investment from the NSW Govt, as not only has it had increased attendances, it has drawn in concerts and other events.
The investment in this stadium has surely paid itself back already. The local economy is benefitting big time on game days.

According to some here though, we should still have this....

Again what are you talking about. Manly aren’t in the discussion because their stadium has been redeveloped. That’s the only reason as per my last post. If their stadium wasn’t redeveloped and they wanted to grow outside of Manly and become a side that is supported in all of North Sydney they should play at the SFS.

Frankly the only club that has an excuse to not play at a central stadium is Penrith because they are actually marketing themselves to areas outside of Sydney.

Ignorant reply.
He sometimes get's it wrong, but more than often get's it right.
It's funny that so many Sydney people take offence to what he says.
Its not a sydney people thing, its his tourist views, he says he visits this or that stadium, like wollongong for example, then remarks about it, which is all fine, but then says the same about other stadiums and shits on them, purely coz he isn't a local, i get that you want to draw high attendances, but not every game needs to be played at a 30-40k venue, having a less than half empty crowd at the old sfs regularly during roosters matches never improved their crowds overall, just coz yeah its a large venue, neither did consistently winning, stadiums arent the only reason certian clubs don't bring in large crowds
