If drinking swamp water Reschs is his only flaw then that's ok. Drinking it out of a pony glass at 7am with a red nose is not. That was Warren Ryan's caper at ANZAC Ave.

There were rumbling that this freakish young player, Lachlan Galvin, wanted out which probably explains why we rushed him into the top 30.
Interstingly he says he wants a ⅝ gig. If we snare Luai, thats means we've gone from a draught to a flood of halves.
He's a lanky kid that reminds me a bit like Darren Lockyer.
He's signed for 3 years so he has time to develop.
It will be interesting though if he continues to carve up in the lower grades and whether we are just developing him for other club.

Me and my mates used to go to the early openers, when we were too young, but thought we were older, chatting with the old soaks, the workers didn’t want to much to do with us. Hahaha

Yeh I can relate to that ha ha.
I think after their scotch shot chaser and 50 ponies listening to someone who makes sense is just a waste of time. :)

He’s still a babe in NRL terms, if Luai does come, imagine what he will learn from him and Benji?

Hey it's Friday, any chance of some big news before the break.
The rumour I’m getting is that Penrith are filthy that Luai is being disrespectful in not wanting to take a $1m+ less and stay with them, after all they have done?
I’m thinking that will mean, they will sack him immediately as he has indicated he wants to go to the wooden spoon club, which will make him available to us for ‘24 hahaha

Disgruntled Tiger ‘unlikely to play for club again’ as sanction sees unfair treatment feud boil over

Silly lad.

"Nofoaluma was reportedly pushed in a bid to improve his fitness after being beaten home in some physical tests by the club’s middle forwards."

Bit unfair, the middle forwards just ran in a straight line. Nofo ran sideways left and then sideways right, fell over a couple of times before finishing where he started.

If they have him for breach of contract, I believe that’s a sackable offence, he is on $525k (reportedly), that would be a huge saving, to go and get someone?
Im not sure if there are a certain amount of breaches needed to sack a player....but it is good that we seem to be intent on shipping him out.....one way or the other.
Nofo does not seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. The sacking route seems very possible.

Exactly Tm. He'd get murdered in the NRL atm as his body is developing.
He can hang around the NRL squad and Benji so they can mould him over the next 2 years. That would mean he gets his chance to prove himself with a year to go.
The point I was eluding to is there are shite loads of lads like this that the scouts look at during these development years and they pick the eyes out of the talent before they are shored up.
They look at lads that would compliment their existing squad or fill the gaps.
That's why IMO we secured him for 3 years and put him in the top 30.
It's a dog eat dog world and a real balancing act.
It was so obvious that the halves were a big issue with us so the club is setting that right with plenty of ½ options and still more to come maybe in Luai and Galvin in the future?

I want to see Noffa punted and inject some new life into the backline but it's a bloody shame that it got to this.
At times he's been our only go to back scoring sqillions of tries and getting us out of trouble with his jinking runs.
I've always maintained that he would have been an outstanding winger in tge Storm's system or Roosters.
The fact that we have been a rock show over the years really has held him back.
However he is laughing all the way to the bank and now he can park himself in reserve grade or pack his bags.
I know from talking to a couple of ex players that contracts these days have so many clauses in them as std....such as performance/training stds etc.
Whether Noffa was set up or not, if he doesn't meet the required stds and there's proofs, then they can cancel his contract.
The backlash then lies with the RLPA, the NRL who ratifies contracts and the player who can seek unfair dismissal.
The problem with all that as far as a player is concerned is how that will cruel his career whether or not it was unfair. It's like being branded.
The best for all is to swap him with Olam and come up with an amicable compensation for all parties.

Honestly, the longer this takes, the more Im thinking he'll stay at Penrith. His last offer from them is 950k.....which is very generous considering the strength of that club.
Depends when he told them, there is a 10 day cooling off period from then.
Be great if he comes, but shit happens if he doesn’t, we’ve been here before, many times?

I will b doing cartwheels if we are able to legally sack him. However when ur on 500k/yr for the next 2 yrs & ur absolutely worthless it’s inconceivable he would overstep the boundary re breaching contract. He will b well informed via his agent where the boundary lies.
