Players come back timid almost every time after an ACL injury. Can be 12 months of playing until they are comfortable again. Many are never the same again
You’re just guessing mate. Where are you stats on this?

Timid players come back timid.
Beasts come back as beasts. Taylan is the kind of person that is not phased by pain or scared of injuries.

There is no reason to worry, he’ll be firing by rnd 4 at the latest.

There wouldn't be a single player that doesn't train well, How they play is different thing
There wouldn’t be a single Panther that doesn’t train well… the same cannot be said for the rest of the NRL. Have a look at Souths and Parra for instance.

It's not a question of May's "ticker" nor being "timid". Nearly every player who does an ACL is timid in his/her first few games back (sometime longer) as sub-consciously they are not sure if the repaired joint will not go again when they put any pressure on it.

I've seen plenty of players like that at the Roosters. JWH, who admittedly is a front rower, took a while to get back to his best running the ball after he came back from his ACL rupture, and Jared is not timid by any stretch of the imagination. Its not straight running that is the issue, it's when they need to use ay lateral movement it can be noticeable. Some players though can wind u losing a step or two pace wise - Ryan Cross did both his ACLs in a 2 year period and he was never quite the same afterwards.

It will just be until he feels that the joint is fine before he might get back to his pre-injury form. That is more emotive and sub-conscious than a conscious thing.
JWH is a pussy though. Has he been training on the paddock this year or in the sheds shining Spencers boots and making him sandwiches?

Not guesswork on this subject.

Quotes from every player to ever suffer the injury and direct conversations with mates who've had the same surgery.
You have read quotes from every player who has suffered an ACL injury in the last few years. That’s really interesting, you must be so into this injury

Do you have a quote from Taylan May? Because that’s all that really matters.

You're wrong. Work on being able to admit it.
Anyways carry on

I think the question marks over Taylan are fair. The injury, a position he never played at the nrl level and didn’t play much of in cup. Remember he was playing hooker in sg ball and hm, so his centre experience over the last 5 years in minimal. After that the next couple years we’re covid years so not a lot of footy played. There is a good chance he goes well because he’s talented and we have a great system but still i think insisting he’s going to kill it is just a bit of wishful thinking at this point.

There's absolutely no grounds to make strong statements about how someone is going to react after an ACL injury. The knee is a complete enigma, its the most complex joint in the body. If May does come back strong, which he absolutely could, I think he'll go great in attack. Defensive decision making is my question mark and that's no disrespect to May. It's the most technical defensive position in the game and experience counts for a lot more than talent and attitude in that regard.

It isn't that it is overs, It is that we have half our cap spend on our top 8 players
Eh, we aren't like teams of the past like the Storm though. Edwards isn't on rockstar superstar money. Out of all the established good hookers in the League Kenny is probably down the bottom in terms of pay. Fish and Martin are no dobut being paid elite money for their positions but is just for their positions.
