non club coach would be preferable

Personally would like to see Gould as coach, or warren ryan, or John lang, doubt any of these would apply/ge the gig however.

Mal Meninga if he was willing to give up coaching Qld would be allright

John Lang- senior figure who would be a good mentor type figure for the team, plus a very good coach.

I say we stick with stuart - garenteed headlines in every paper as the press chase him before every game.

Now there's one out of left field! Would probably do a bloody good job, too. Add Junior Pearce, who did pretty well with NSW too.

Jnr?
He would probably take them skiing as some sort of bonding exercise.
Pearce wont ever coach again after what Langer and Bennett did to him in 2001.

would have to be john lang, respected by a lot of people in the game and has good ability as well.

the national coach should not ahve any current ties to NRL teams or origin. whislt all coaches have favourites at least this would limit selections like tupou occuring

I'd take Sutton over Gallen every time!

Trivia corner: I recall Lang was coach of the Australian side in that Superleague World Nines tournament during the 'war'.

He was also the coach of the Australian SL team (13 a side)

I can't see Meninga giving up Origin coaching for the Kangaroos, at least not for a while anyway.

John Lang would be a good coach, but how about giving the job to a past high profile Kangaroos player with some coaching experience with an NRL coach as assistant (like Meninga and Neil Henry for QLD).

Laurie Daley ?

Mal Meninga can stay right where he is thank you very much.

Give the Aussie gig to Ian Millward, coaching genius.

You forgetting what he did to Qld before that?

And would you prefer a binge drinking session and group sex in a public toilet, no doubt.

Daley couldn't coach a tour bus.

Your criteria: Johns and Fittler., Pearce and Sheens, Fulton and Taylor....
