Good to see aussie cricket fan's sticking by their team. After years of international dominance it doesn't take the bandwagoner's long to jump off when things get a little tough.

Dump North for Smith and leave Doherty for the series and probably the next one. At least give Doherty a couple of series to develop to show what he's got. We are losing anyway...

Batman - how do you manage to watch both teams with contempt and call yourself a New Zealander?

I thought only South Africans and POMS could watch a game between two sides and complain about both them.

Forgive me for being candid but this is pretty much your contribution's essence

"AUS CRICKET SUCKS NOW HAHAHA" "ENGLISH CHEAT COS THEY HAVE TOO MANY SAFFIRS"

Which is it? Who you dislike more, ie who are you supporting? The Saffier ridden English team or Australia?

As a Kiwi I don't have much love for either side. Some Kiwi's support the Aussie's out of the ANZAC spirit and close neighbours and all that, some Kiwi's support the Poms because they hate the Aussies. A lot of Kiwi's don't support Poms because of their airs of cultural and economic superiority. We perceive them as arrogant with a 'born to rule' mentality.

All I have done is point out the fact that England have 5 contracted players who are S.A. born, with 4 in their current test team. That is a simple statement of fact. If their were 5 South African born players in the Aussie side, I expect they would get a lot of grief about it and there would be a lot of grumbling that Australia have been up for so long as it is and now they have to plunder S.A. ranks as well. Fairs fair. No love lost between Kiwi's and Aussie's but why lie about plain facts. Australia - rise or fall - are doing it on largely home-grown talent.

Bollingers going at 5.3 an over but X Doherty is going at only 4.61 runs an over. Comparatively tight bowling from the X man.

How do you guys think Bolly is going?

I thought he made a good start but has been pretty loose since.
