Hannant and Petero front for for a year, happy about that, we made sure to sign up our young front row talent first though, so really happy about that. Petero will teach our young forwards alot, really bloody happy about that, and petero will probably retire and become our forwards coach......f**k yeah I'm happy about that

So much for the "job for life".

It's our management. It's seems they can't sign or re-sign anyone before round 20 and need to offload 4 decent players and replace them with hacks.

Waterhouse 350k
Bell 180k
Petero 350k

Plenty of money freed up. p!ss poor timing as always so we will get no-one

We shall see...

http://www.nospam11.com.au/articles/2011/07/25/storm-hopeful-of-retaining-blair/

"He has not signed with Penrith, that's not true" - Frank Ponissi Storm Football Operations Manager

“As far as we’re concerned he won’t be going anywhere.” - Craig Bellamy

Fair to say an article with quotes and that sort of thing is a little more substantial than what the Daily Telegraph came up with.

Apparently he has an option for 2012 which hasnt been signed yet. Bellamy thought he had done so when he made the comments.

So basically he is up for grabs.

I would hope he stayed at Melbourne because from there would be his best chance of playing Origin.

There's something about this bloke that says 'origin' to me. Typical no-nonsense player that Qld thrive on.

Another player who should never have left the Eels. Jumped out of the biggest too-hard-basket in the history of league . . . that of Brian Smith

There were two representative centres ahead of him at the time......hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it's not our fault one of those centres was a turn-coat dog.
