Pretty shit actually.

Sigh...Once again, I'm not defending what Moltzen has done. I would certainly never compare him to Gasnier in what they've achieved on the field.

However off the field they have both had controversial contract issues, but as far as I know Moltzen has never abused and sexually harrassed a woman. So Gaz is one up on him there.

And good on Gaz for his foundation. But don't try bringing up Benji's recent issue, it was a non event. And Benji raises more money for charity and does more for the community than anybody.

By the way I don't even have anything against Gaz, I was just pointing out that it's a bit ironic that Dragons fans want to hang Moltzen after what Gaz did to the Dragons. But I understand you may see it differently (through rose coloured and possibly sauce stained glasses)than me and most of the league community (Jeremy Smith and Neville Costigan included) see it.

And anyway if you think about it. Are Moltzen's and Gaz's situations that different after all? They were both supposed to play for the Dragons next year and they both did a backflip. Might say something about the confidence they have post-Bennett.

What exactly did Gasnier "do" to the Dragons? It must have been pretty terrible if they re-signed him 18 months later.

I'm not talking about Le Gaz. I'm talking about him backing out of his contract the second time around. Hence my referal to Smith and Costigan.

Mate please provide some facts to back up this bout of hyperbole.

For someone who comes on here and preaches to us thinking he knows everything about everything, you have completely put your foot in it here..

Your lack of cred was already apparent, but the above statement, which is unable to be proven, shows you're a complete keyboard fool.

You can't possibly be this stupid.

Would you go back to an employer where your contracted was never honoured? Gasnier was out of pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars of money he signed for, before he left for Paris.
I love how people skim over this small (massive) issue. The fact he even come back at all is amazing, not many would after that rubbish.

Since he came back, he was transparent and honest with the Dragons all the way through. Rather than stay when his heart wasn't completely in it, and earn easy money, he went out on top.

Anyway, I couldn't be happier Moltzen isn't a Dragon. He's received far too much attention already, he'll never make anything of himself other than Benji's personal concubine.

lol comparing Moltzen to Gasnier is reaching in the extreme. Clutching at wafer thin straws. The two don't belong in the same sentence. Don't belong in the same thread. LOLtzen should count himself lucky to share a football field with him!

WHETHER Robert Lui is permitted to continue playing in the NRL still depends heavily on the result of his court case, despite North Queensland yesterday announcing they had signed the former Wests Tigers halfback.
The Cowboys issued a media release to say they had signed Lui to a two-year deal. The Tigers issued a release soon after to confirm they had released Lui from the final year of his contract.
Lui appeared in Burwood Local Court on October 27 and pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on his partner, Taleah Rae Backo. The matter was adjourned to December 9.
Advertisement: Story continues below
Cowboys general manager Peter Parr said the club would be welcoming Lui ''into a solid playing group that will provide leadership and support''. Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys added: ''Robert is a prodigious talent who will greatly benefit from the family support available to him in Townsville. We wish him well for the next phase of his career.''
But the NRL is monitoring the court case, and because of its strong stance against violence against women it is only natural to think Lui could be banned from playing in the competition if found guilty.
''There is a matter before the court, so we can't speculate,'' league spokesman John Brady said last night. ''We will continue to watch proceedings closely.''
Asked about Lui's uncertain future, Parr told the Herald: ''We will wait to see … I have talked to him and other people involved in it, but it's difficult to comment because it's still before the courts. If it doesn't go the way we think it may, we might have to reassess, but he has pleaded not guilty and at this stage we're confident through our own research that he will be playing footy with us next year.''

Confirms that this is the way it is normally done and what the scumbag Tigers did was "change their mind" cause it suited them. Don't know how any player on their roster can trust their CEO!

The most unethical bunch of pricks to ever play the game

You probably should have taken a leaf out of your own book and done a bit of research before sending this. He may have his detractors but everyone knows that Benji does a shitload for charity.

If you care to remember, he was chairing a fundraising event for the Children's Cancer Institute earlier this year.

Benji Marshall (Wests Tigers): Through his work helping children with cancer, Benji has shown that he is a leader both on and off the field. Inspired by his dying father’s last wish for him to help children with cancer, Benji launched the Benji Marshall Foundation in late 2010. The Foundation is linked to the Children's Cancer Institute Australia, which Benji is also an ambassador for.

Why are we still talking about this average merkin?

Clearly we dodged a bullet, now let him fade back into the anonymity that he came from.

I find this entire post utterly ludicrous. Controversial contract issues? One was left out of pocket and returned to the same club to win a comp. The other was out of tissues so had to run back to benji. Gasniers sole aim was to win a comp. He did that. As an athlete you set a goal, once it is achieved you set another, if you can no longer do that then It's time to give it away, which is what Gasnier did. Honourable and classy. Who in the current tigers squad can you HONESTLY say has shown such integrity?
On the smith and costigan issue, I think It's highly hypocritical for a tigers fan to bring up such things when your own club let go of how many to get one player? Smith and costigan were stars for us, but he fact is we couldn't pay them what they were worth, they got better deals. How do we know one or both wouldnt have followed Bennett to Newcastle? They are both backrowers and we have Scott and creagh, which leaves only lock for them to fight for.

Your going to bring up a phone call in 2004 as a point in your argument, which really has nothing whatsoever to do with what we are talking about Very well. Yes Gasnier is one up on him there, but if it makes you feel better Lui is one up on Gasnier, and the best part is that happened 5 weeks ago. Gasniers actions were stupid, Luis was f**king criminal, and second offence no less. So before you start hammering that shit out take a look in your own backyard.

Bottom line is, Gasnier is a man, moltzen hasn't grown balls yet, I expect he is waiting for benji to tell him It's ok from his own rose coloured, sauce stained glasses. Gasnier got out of his contract because third parties didn't honour their end. he returned, did what he said he was going to do and left with nothing to prove and his head held high. moltzen just couldn't get his tail from between benjis legs. so yes is say their situation is poles apart in difference. That is all

Weren't you just owned for not checking your facts regarding Gasnier? Yes, I believe you were.

Benji who?

Isn't he that bloke who kicks out the full when his team is under pressure? Sorry, I'm not on a first name basis with this fella so you'll have to clarify.

That's still assuming that you're capable of answering a single question.

Did you think about it?

Moltz3n signed with Saints four months after Bennett announced his departure.

It has been well reported that Gasnier had been thinking about retirement for some time and made his decision at the beginning of the year. Nothing to do with Bennett.

You're making less and less sense with each post.

What a surprise to see Lui sign with the Cowboys a couple of days after the Moltzen saga is sorted. f**k those Tigers are the most unethical business in the game.
