One of Clarkes best knocks, from about 20 onwards has looked in supreme form.

Pontings batting pretty well also. He's been given along time to impress again and I guess taking his chance. Good to see him somewhat resemble the player he was, hope it lasts.

Clarke went in to century mode at about that score. Some amazing drives in his century.

I hope that Ponting is there at 6pm tonight.

a shame about the crowd though. Lots of empty seats everywhere. It wasn't very long ago that the first 2-3 days of the SCG test always sold out. We couldn't even get a sell-out yesterday for Day 1 in perfect weather. However, it can perfectly understood when you look at how ridiculously expensive the tickets are.

Top batting by both Ponting and Clarke today. Ponting I suppose looks the most likely to get out, but thats only because Clarke looks solid as a rock.

When was the last time an australian scored a double century?
