He didn't want the pressure of trying to get 400. Probably would have choked in the 390's. Plus just doing some stat padding.

If India win this from here needing 470 odd runs and to bowl out Australia, then it want be anything to do with the decleration.

It will go down in history as one of the greatest sporting wins of all time.

I think the declaration was a very good move and petty well timed. And I am a huge fan of declarations when used strategically

Jesus christ it has nothing to do with the possibility of losing the game, he had the chance to score 400 and Hussey 200 and in doing so all it would have done would have strengthened their position.

What a knock from the legend. Bit disappointed at the declaration, from a selfish point of view.

People will still hate on the man, but it will hurt them every time they see the record books. 329*. Sublime.
