OFFICIAL NSW side

Look I couldn't honestly give a flying f**k who NSW picks, the team is not that bad but Creagh's selection defies belief IMO.

Completely dumbfounded about creagh's inclusion just like you all but our opinions never matter when it comes to Ricky Stuart and his selections. I would just hope you are all cheering on the blues that run out to represent the state in 10 days time.

Thinking back on this year Creagh has not been in great form but he actually has been playing alot tougher and alot tighter as opposed to past seasons. His defence and lateral shift around the PTB may actually be a really good asset to shut down the interplay between the Storm trio or at least limit it.

Really looking forward to the series regardless.

We have to try and build on this side going forward

Now that we've all had a good whine can we now get behind the side
FWIW I think this side will trouble QLD tremendously because the backline and halves are strong for the most part.

The problem comes when the bench, which imo is fairly weak, is needed and how they'll stack up against QLD.
This is where Tariq could have helped, as he fires up the Cows and is great with support in the tiring minutes of a game.

Not to mention the fact that he freakin' bleeds blue.

Pretty good side compared to what I've seen over the years. Creagh over Watmough/Sims/Mannah is the only big blunder and even then Creagh wasn't that bad last year. Buhrer seems pretty random, but I'll think he'll actually go alright. If we insist on picking a "utility", Buhrer is as good as any of them.

Most importantly:

1. Stewart
6. Carney
7. Pearce
9. Farah

is a hell of a lot better than

1. Minichello
6. Soward
7. Pearce
9. Ennis

You heard it last year, but last years side was shit so it's a good thing we're not trying to build on it.

RBM hasn't checked in. A pity, I was looking forward to his thoughts, and the side he would have selected instead.

THIS

& whilst not a Hayne fan I can see that he's there as a cover for B Stewart if he goes lame at some stage . Although B Morris couldve also filled this dual role .

The starting 13 is spot on.

Agree with the consensus on no Sims and Creagh, I have no idea how he keeps making these sides. I don't agree with Buhrer either but am willing to give him a shot.

People realise that Jennings wasn't dropped because of form right? If Cleary and Gus want to drop him for attitude or beause they want to get rid of him because he's overpaid or whatever, it's really irrelevant. He's one of the best centres in NSW if not the best. Good on Ricky for ignoring that Panthers rubbish and picking him.

Geez. People can never be happy and honestly not sook or complain? FFS stop the whining and get behind your bloody state. No wonder the QLD fans laugh at us. Look at you all crying. That's the team picked and that's that. Now it's our job to get behind them. It's a much better side then last year and the spine is the best we've had in years. Stop the complaining and put your faith and support behind them. Show some passion.

Jennings last Origin game. 1 try, 11 tackle busts, 3 line breaks, 179 metres.

Don't give me crap like 'he was against Tonga' - only one of those tackle breaks was made against Tonga. The other 10 was QLD forwards he was bumping off.

The guy is quality and like Hayne will perform and give the QLD'rs headaches.

To those saying it's a shit team: what team would you have picked?

FMD .......there's been 10,000 versions of the team picked in the other thread. Don't get 'em started again.

Buhrer is an odd one, although Stuart did hint at it.

Not a fan of Merrin

Whatmong has been over rated for a LONG time and looks like the penny's finally dropped, or Bozo lost out in a coin toss.

Bird in the starting side......mehh.

Back line looks OK.

All in all ...........

Good luck......!!!

Those bagging the Farah selection and saying he's had a chance and failed seem to forget he's been selected for two games. Played well in the first and then played in the second clearly hampered by injured and admittedly sucked.

Ennis on the other hand has single handedly given QLD two games and won NSW none. f**k him. He offers nothing but a shit kicking game that gives up good field position.

From a completley objective stand point I can't believe some people in here believe that team is good enough to win the first game let alone a series.

Apart from Creagh which most people on here are puzzled by, what would you have done different?
