As an alternative jersey, it really doesn't seem that far removed from the main... I thought the purpose was to provide some sort of contrast?

Just a clearer pic...

Pretty sure it's not the 2011 alternate jersey Timmah. I think you'll find the alternate reverses the black and blue of the Members Jersey.

Surely not contrasting enough to the current home kit?

And shouldn't that Telstra Premiership logo be replaced with a Jim Beam Cup logo? Oh sorry not for a couple of years.

Tsunami Sport, who sponsor a few emerging nations such as Germany and Norway, currently offer a similar jersey to CCC but with a double 'teardrop' as you call it... Also attached a picture of Sonny Bill wearing Tsunami for Belfast in the NZ Rugby Union comp recently.

No, it's not. And your attempts at shutting me down because you think you're right are hilarious.
I see the blue line merging in to the same coloured tear drop now... My bad.

I might add having the tear drop merging in to a straight line is pretty ineffective - can barely tell the tear drop is there...

Bulldogs jersey.. meh..

CCC teardrop is geniused because everyone has it. AND it always has me thinking of Rugby Union and Scotland and Ireland jerseys that first came out with it, then all the RU teams.. Just not league IMO.

The single or duble teardrop discussion is irrelevant. It LOOKS like it's a double, so who cares if it actually isn't?

Yes and no. That picture is the one-off members jersey, but it without the member names on it, it is the 2011 Sharks alternate jersey.

Where does it say that this is going to be used as their alternate jersey Timmah? You seem pretty sure but I cant find 1 single statement confirming this

All I could find is this, saying that it will be worn in Rd1 but thats it

By becoming a 2011 Cronulla Sharks Member your name will be embedded into the Jersey worn by the Sharks in our first home game of the season against the Dragons!

Timmah is probably a tad confused because initially the announcement was the members jersey was going to be the brand new alternative strip.. As I believe this is the predominantly black jersey - they realised they would have problems with the names on the jersey.

So now it says "brand new designed members jersey" on the site.

Completely agree it's ineffective. The whole concept of the teardrop is, IMO.

Spot on - previous literature had the members jersey being the alternative plus names, which obviously isn't the case anymore.

The sponsor completely ruins the blue and white strip across the front, there's no point the strip because of it. It should just be in black font.
