Nightclub allegations - Bulldogs & Raiders

Willie Tonga, SBW, Asotasi, Andrew Ryan, Chris Sandow and Luke Patten were all out in Cronulla last night. All looked pretty well behaved from what I saw. Patten was pretty blind, but none of them were causing trouble and just keeping to themselves.

    Boring Kicks For Boring Tries

Sorry I don't have time to waste on reading every post in a garbage thread.

Should SANZAR just join the NRL

Since when haven't timezones existed? The fact that the US and European suggestions are close to 12 hours different to our timezones, ontop of anywhere up to 30 hours of flights, how do you suggest teams adjust to the jet lag and train within a reasonable time frame? I think it's a ridiculous...

    Boring Kicks For Boring Tries

Oh sorry, were there not suggestions about modifying the point system for trys scored off kicks in this thread? I must have imagined them. Perhaps you should read the thread again.

    "those tazos...we only get $1000"

Considering that they constantly run these promotions, whether it be the simpsons, shrek, the NRL or whatever. One can assume with pretty good accuracy that it sells packets of chips... Next thing you'll argue is that toys with happy meals don't make more money for McDonalds

    "those tazos...we only get $1000"

You think they wouldn't do them if there wasn't a profit in them? Kids love that sort of stuff, as soon as they find a packet with one surprise in it, they'll keep wanting more, it's just in most kids nature. Dare I say, licensing the NRL would be a massive money spinner for Smiths in the male...

    Boring Kicks For Boring Tries

I propose we have 4 judges, judging the style, execution and landing on a scale of 0 to 1, not unlike the gymnastics. Scores are then tallied and added to the score.

    now for the bad news.

The dragons have alot of depth in their front row and backline. If anything freeing up that money makes them far stronger for next season. They have some serious buying power that most clubs won't be able to compete with now.

Clubs should be compensated for "Gaz" like occurances

Please tell me how any club could negotiate one without them if the sponsorship is conditional (which all sponsorship is). I think you'll find every player in the NRL with a 3rd party contract would have similar clauses. Thats the problem with 3rd party sponsorship deals being built into...

Clubs should be compensated for "Gaz" like occurances

He needed to make so many appearances on the footy show to earn his keep. That quota was not met. Who is to say it was Gasnier or channel 9's fault however? He'd need to be asked to go on the show to meet that quota. Likewise he could decline appearances. It's a deal that was heavily...

Clubs should be compensated for "Gaz" like occurances

The clause was activated because 3rd party deals were not paid. Good luck trying to get a player to sign a contract where they are offered x amount, but the club or sponsor can elect not to pay the amount and there will be no breach of contract. There was nothing wrong with the contract...

    now for the bad news.

Knights have top line talent? That's right, Danny Wicks is there, I forgot that :D

And the fact that he apparently did some things while in camp last time he represented NSW that were unfavourable and tagged as "never to play for NSW again".

Rogue fans may get collared in undercover sting

Perhaps you have misunderstood what I was saying, by no means am I supporting what they said. However, who is to know that it was intended as a racist taunt? I was merely stating that it's a word that is used in many different contexts, more often than not, it is not used in a racial manner...

Rogue fans may get collared in undercover sting

At the risk of being percieved as naiive or insensitive, no one should take the following comments the wrong way... However, I don't understand how calling someone a "monkey" is racially villifying someone. I have seen the word used in many different contexts when being used to describe...

    Titans Gone for 2008!

Yet the Broncos are sitting pretty in the 8 at the moment, having played very few games with Lockyer. Last year that comment would have held true, not anymore with the emergence of Wallace and Ennis. Titans however, will really struggle without Prince, although Davis did look impressive last...

Who would you rather have at your club?Jamie Soward or Mitchell Pearce..

Stuart hindered his progression, not Anderson. If Stuart showed some faith from 2005 onwards, he would have developed much quicker. The longest stint he ever got under Stuart was 4 games in a row. Nowhere near long enough for a half to establish himself in a side.

Who would you rather have at your club?Jamie Soward or Mitchell Pearce..

Soward was the highest point scorer in the history of flegg at that age. Just because he was or wasn't in first grade at the same age has little bearing. Coaches can hold back players for various reasons. The fact we had Fittler and Finch playing at the time may have had something to do with...
