Super Thread LXXV: Remembering forgotten memories

I'm the antithesis of a redneck, hence the years of bullying and social ostracisation that drove me out of the region, state, and country.

Welp, some f**khead Iranian has brought coronavirus into Georgia. The dream is over. It's been nice knowing you all. /s

    League Unlimited's Favourite Movie

My order would be Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and then Meaning of Life. The latter was more a series of skits, whereas the first two had coherent narratives to stitch the weirdness all together.

    League Unlimited's Favourite Movie

That mindset is what ruined The Hobbit movies IMO. They were always going to be a stretch at three movies, but the need to constantly inject random action sequences really spoiled what might have been a fun series.

    Making a very simple website

That's some next-level graphical design there. I feel like you'd need at least a university education to pull something like that off.

    League Unlimited's Favourite Movie

That is my opinion of The Godfather films. I f**king loathe them.

Grabbed an 8 Lari ($4 AUD) bottle of wine on a whim the other night. Surprisingly good. Deadset, this country is wine heaven.

What Movies Have You Seen III

Caught Bird of Prey here. Definitely better than the majority of the DCEU shite, with only Wonder Woman really being more enjoyable. It's not a movie I'd watch again, but Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor do a great job. 7/10

    What's good on Netflix?

I definitely enjoyed season two more than season one. I couldn't stand Holden's girlfriend in season one, whereas the romance was less centre stage this time around. I also didn't hate the parallels between Tench's son and the serial killers he investigates. ------ The missus and I have...

What Movies Have You Seen III

Finally saw Parasite today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I called South Korea home for a few years, so I definitely had more touchstones within the world of the story than my wife, but we both really enjoyed the characterization, the plot, and the overall pacing of it. I can see why it won Best...

Movies that made you walk out of the cinema

From memory, she didn't like comic book movies (or action movies or fantasy or sci-fi) in general, although I only found this out after the movie. I wasn't that keen to begin with, but those were some big final straws. I 'ain't hiding my geekery for the rest of my days.

Movies that made you walk out of the cinema

I took a date to see Guardians of the Galaxy. She hated it. I didn't bother seeing her again. You don't need to love the movie, but hate? That's a pretty strong reaction to a generally inoffensive movie.

Movies that made you walk out of the cinema

Not that I walked out, but I made the mistake of watching Monster's Ball with my family. That ball-slapping, sweaty sex scene between Halle Berry and Billy-Bob Thornton was decidedly uncomfortable for a 19-year-old Misanthrope.

Movies that made you walk out of the cinema

I walked out of the first Alien vs Predator, which was a mixture of the movie being awful and having too much greasy fish & chips before the show.
