    Polished off two bottles of Tvishi semi-sweet white on my lonesome last night. Not quite as sweet as a moscato, but quite flavourful. Everybody else at my table was drinking a Dakishvili Family Vineyards dry saperavi, the bunch of purple-toothed savages.

    Girt is a f**king terrible word. It's like describing a farm as 'bucolic'. It's the right word from a technical standpoint, but it's verbose wank for the sake of ham-fistedly fitting the idea into an already awful tune.

    I'm not usually a red wine drinker, but the missus found an Alazani Valley medium sweet red from Kakheti, Georgia and it is the bomb. Pleasantly sweet and very drinkable.

    What are you eating right now?

    My American wife was horrified to learn that the first time I had waffles was when I was 25 or so. I tried to explain to her that sweet breakfasts (danishes, syrupy French toast etc.) aren't as big a thing in Australia as they are in the States, but she wasn't having it.
