    2024 Crowd Watch

IMO the NRL should have flipped venues for the Australian games. Australia v Tonga at CommBank would have been an easy sell, whilst Brisbane would have been a good option for the quadruple header.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Pacific Championship ticket sales so far: Australia v Tonga @ Brisbane Level 5 has finally gone on sale, with 530 - 533 now on sale. Sidelines & behind posts have been selling strongly, corners not at all. Might be around 16K mark currently, though @SLRBRONCOS is far better at reading...

    2025 NRL Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos

He's not an investor in BYD, but his company, AP Eagers, owns the retail rights for their cars (with EV Direct) in the A/NZ markets, so definitely has a vested interest in their success.

    2024 Crowd Watch

I can understand the argument for not wanting it separate from an easy crowd and TV ratings perspective (NRL can claim they've had crowds of over 40K for the NRLW for the last 3 or so GFs and likely more than a million watching it this year), but I do hope they consider it & pair it with the...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Penrith was tiny when they were admitted in the competition. In fact the estimated population of Penrith City at the time was just 12,138, whilst the Blue Mountains had 21,316. In the 1990s, when they reached their first premiership, it finally got to around 100,000 for the Penrith region. By...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

The above report is based upon Roy Morgan's Single Source survey. This survey purely asks, out of the 17 NRL teams, who do you support, they use pretty much the same audience as they do for their AFL survey, which is why you end up with the Storm as number 1 for NRL and the Swans as number 1...

    2024 Crowd Watch

It's a fair comment to make and pre-COVID I'd agree that the club would take a big hit if performance on the field dropped, though over the last few years definitely seeing a change in Storm supporters. Firstly, not only have crowds grown over the past few seasons, but the crowd make-up has...

    2024 Crowd Watch

Few more bays now down to single seats compared to earlier in the week. Hopefully the weather holds out for tonight. Panthers end of the ground seems to selling a lot better than Sharks.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Dogs v Manly wasn't selling into bays 116 - 122 and 140 - 145 (they had their sponsors covering the seats) or into level 3 on the northern end, so that could balance it out a bit. Honestly I don't see it hitting 40K, though it does appear to be selling better than Panthers v Storm last year...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Leichhardt is a public asset. So far this year it has host 20 professional level events including NRL, NRLW, A League Men's & Women’s, U19s Origin. Throw in the likes of Shute Shield Final, NSW Cup matches + Finals, Junior Reps Finals, Country v City and all up Leichhardt Oval has over 120...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I'm not expecting the NSW Government to be overly generous with any deal they do, but even if they are, I don't see Shark Park being that high in the pecking order. As you mentioned Wollongong & Newcastle both are unfinished and both are VenuesNSW properties, so there is value in the government...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

The venue was supposedly fine to host a Semi Final last week, now it's in desperate need of funding... (which we all knew anyway) Now in this economy, few governments are going to be willing to put up more money for a stadium, especially a privately owned one. It's not like the Sharks haven't...

    2024 Crowd Watch

It can't be too bad as the club is taking 4 games back there for the next 3 years with Shane Richardson claiming they need to play games at a venue like CommBank to balance the losses they see at LO & CSS

    2024 Crowd Watch

Wests Tigers 'failure' at Commbank has been overstated IMO. If you look at the crowds the club was also getting at Leichardt and Campbelltown at the same time, Commbank performed often better with the only true 'flop year' being 2023 when it hosted only 2 games - Cronulla on a Thursday night...

    2024 Crowd Watch

This is how Saturday is looking. Black is sold out or down to single seats, red is where 85% of the seats appear to be sold. Unsurprising, the NRL is focusing on trying to push majority of the crowd into the TV arc. I'd argue we would be around the 30K mark now (or at least around 28-29K)...
