Donkey, this has already all been discussed many weeks ago.

    18th club, whose next?

That’s not really that hard of a question to answer, especially if you have seen how NRL pathways work.

    Almost a dozen expansion consortiums

This is what happened with the Bears and the Board and their original non-negotiables. The members rallied and made their voice known at the AGM.

Kaeo Weekes (Canberra Raiders) played with the Asquith Magpies in the North Sydney junior competition then went through the Manly-Warringah NRL Junior Pathways, Jacob Preston (Bulldogs) born in Wahroonga played in the Manly Warringah junior rugby league competition but came through the Bears NRL...

    18th club, whose next?

All I know is that many Bears fans are talking about the NSO game, many are already worried about acquiring tickets, as a member they should be fine. There were over 10,000 fans at last years NSW Cup Grand Final between North Sydney v South Sydney at CommBank Stadium, and Bears fans easily...

    18th club, whose next?

The Dolphins are new and draw 10,000 at Kayo Stadium when they play at home, the NRL doesn’t care about crowd numbers it is about TV viewers.

    18th club, whose next?

No because team 24 will probably happen in 2050, what a stupid comment.

    18th club, whose next?

The Bears currently lead the NSW Cup competition, they were Minor Premiers and Runners Up in 2023, the Bears probably have three to four contracted Storm players play with them each weekend if they are lucky, the Bears contracted players all have jobs.

    18th club, whose next?

The Bears hold on to win a very close encounter today with the South Sydney Rabbitohs 22-20 to secure the Mario Fenech Cup with two wins over the Rabbitohs in 2024. The Rabbitohs scored two tries in the last five minutes and missed a conversion with under a minute remaining. The Bears were...

    18th club, whose next?

I’ll tell you now, NSO will be sold out for that “ONE” game.

    18th club, whose next?

Mate I hate Manly, I’d rather they travel all the way across Australia to Perth on a shitty four hour Jetstar flight as opposed to travelling 10 minutes across the spit bridge from Brookvale to NSO. Why give them the advantage of being fresh and ready to go.

    18th club, whose next?

Yes or until NRL hierarchy deem it so. I personally was happy with away only Bears games and have never pushed the NSO agenda. Many other Bears fans also agreed with this, then you have the half dead diehards who don’t but they also still want the Bears playing full time out of NSO lol.

    18th club, whose next?

The Bears are negotiating for more seats on the board but the majority of everything is with the Perth consortium as it should be, it is a WA based team, over time NSO will not be up to NRL standards. As you keep referring to the Perth Bears as a merged entity, unlike the Tigers or the Dragons...

    18th club, whose next?

They aren’t arguing over how many games are being played at NSO anymore though, they have agreed to the one game being played at NSO each season.
