    18th club, whose next?

The Wanderers have a huge following in Western Sydney as do Sydney FC, I think the Melbourne Victory FC and Melbourne City FC also get big crowds.

The whole A League is loosing money, the whole competition is a basket case. The Mariners lost a majority of their top squad and won all three major titles in 2024 yet rugby league is and remains the Central Coasts major sport. The Mariners have always been the paupers of the A League competition.

I thought that was what you were referring to, I hope that there is a clause where they have to make this work, no matter what. Perth do no deserve to happen to them what happened to the Bears with Manly with the Northern Eagles joint venture. I’m not even going to discuss options on what will...

Don’t get me wrong Robson was a weapon in defence but bringing Connor on with 20 mins to go turned that game. You can tell he was a nippy fullback all through the juniors.

C’mon say Souths feeder club at the time, c’mon say ‘North Sydney Bears’, and the boys played about a year and a half for the Bears if you really want to know. I can try and find the official match sheets if you’d like as I am good mates with the NSO ground announcer from that time. How were...

Yes the Burgess twins came from the English system but clearly were not up to NRL standard, that is why they played for the Bears NSW Cup before making their NRL debuts.

Still played a full season of NSW Cup with the Bears to prepare for NRL with the Rabbitohs as they weren’t ready for that level of competition, that’s what a feeder club system does or reserve grade if you have your own which the Rabbitohs didn’t at that time, Joseph Suallii and Sam Walker were...

    18th club, whose next?

That’s why youngsters like Ethan Strange, Kaeo Weekes, Albert Hopoate all went to the Raiders after the latter two struggled at the Sea Eagles because they knew they would have an easier shot at making the top grade with Canberra. They will soon move on when they get better offers.
