    The whole A League is loosing money, the whole competition is a basket case. The Mariners lost a majority of their top squad and won all three major titles in 2024 yet rugby league is and remains the Central Coasts major sport. The Mariners have always been the paupers of the A League competition.

    That’s why youngsters like Ethan Strange, Kaeo Weekes, Albert Hopoate all went to the Raiders after the latter two struggled at the Sea Eagles because they knew they would have an easier shot at making the top grade with Canberra. They will soon move on when they get better offers.
