    From what I understand re bulldogs and Adelaide Oval redevelopment yep. Pretty sure cronulla just pulled the pin after 1 lousy effort, vs Nth Qld no less. Not exactly a match to interest the non-diehards.

    Adelaide is by far the most insular city in Australia in terms of sport. Heaps of people really don't know the difference between Union and league. I have mates come around to watch GFs or origin and some of them have no clue what it is, or surprised to see so many people watching an origin...

    Was just coming online to state the same thing. Last weeks Sunday game was the same. As I recall, the last TV deal insisted on live national coverage, obviously on GEM down here...last night? Antique roadshow.

    Because winters are cold and wet, not hot and dry. It is a cracking stadium. Have been for both nrl and soccer and cheap seats are still close to the action.

    Off topic, but Australia is no better, some primary schools go to yr 6 while others do yr 7. Some schools have mid-year intakes and some states have different starting ages.

    Also have been there and done that. As someone else mentioned, from memory once permanent residency kicks in (2 year checkup) then access to baby bonus and family benefits kicked in. Really, the only difference is my wife can't vote...sounds like a sweet deal to me:)

    Too many haters on here :( Grew up in qld, still call myself that but been living in radelaide (that's what us locals call it ;) ) for 15yrs. Seriously, it does grow on you - heaps more chilled than the other capitals. You guys think that Melbourne people are insular when it comes to sport...
