    2025 NRL Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos

I wouldn't be surprised. If they want their 1980s-90s mojo back, that's a part of it, right?

That away kit may as well be a Brumbies jersey!

What were we saying about sponsor placement? Cowboys: We're gonna have a Toyota sponsor box over some of a key part of our design Raiders: Hold my beer.... The away is bad enough, obscuring some of the green stripe, but the home Raiders one is THE WORST. Adding a new design element (chest...

That, but with thicker yellow stripes. That lemon-yellow shade isn't used by any other NRL team, so they should use it a bit more as a highlight. Note- I'm not saying use it as a major colour - let alone to base an away kit on it, but that jersey just under-does it to my tastes.

Having the sponsor cover those bands isn't great, but at least they've managed to make the sponsor logo match the overall colour-scheme, and not some garish box like some other clubs have done - especially the Knights, who do that more often than not.

Not bad. A shame the gold bands aren't a bit thicker so they pop a bit more, but overall a nice salute to the 1995 kit. (Edit) I hope the shorts will be interchangeable too.. there may be some match-ups where the home with white shorts or away with navy shorts would improve contrast between teams.

So, from what I gather we have... Nov 1 Bulldogs - 90th Anniversary logo & jersey reveal Raiders - Jersey reveal Cowboys - Jersey reveal Later in November Warriors Jersey reveal Panthers - Jersey reveal (or was the Panthers 1 Nov?) Dolphins - Jersey reveal Any others we know of??

On the right could that be a revamp of the 1992 Raiders alternate that was worn against the touring Lions team, as modelled here?

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I wholeheartedly agree - not just identifying that cricket & footy have vastly different needs, and making a ground for each that suits that - but also having decisiveness to make the plan and carry it out. The contrast with Auckland's lumbering indecision is stark.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Council owns it - and the space there has 2 stadiums currently - #1 ground which is configured for footy & #2 ground which has an athletics track, but very limited seating. Depending on costs, I suppose they could always demolish one to be sold & upgrade the other. Maybe even just putting some...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Dream scenario IMO would be.. * Cricket at Western Springs (New oval) * Footy/concerts at big new CBD stadium - maybe even a covered one, with a "club mode" lower bowl. Now, what happens with a boutique stadium at Western Springs and/or Mount Smart is interesting. Maybe if the Warriors...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

It really depends on what Auckland Council approves for Western Springs. In a previous strategy, it was earmarked for a cricket oval - not sure if that's still in the plans, but I'd really like cricket to go there so that any future MAIN stadium (60k ish capacity) build/refurbishment can be...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

One domino is falling when it comes to the Auckland stadium conundrum. Speedway will leave Western Springs after this summer. https://www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/360468876/speedway-end-western-springs-after-95-years-following-fiery-council-meeting

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Yeah, setting aside the oval vs rectangular debate it's a shame that Wellignton didn't get a covered stadium, but alas it was just too soon. Funny thing is that at the same time Wellington was pondering it's stadium future in the late 1990s, Hamilton was too - and they decided to NOT replace...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

You're right in that the Wellington stadium is as good as an oval stadium can be for footy - the oval is pretty small, after all. When I've been there for lower-pulling games, they try and mitigate that by putting the crowd on one side of the stadium only (usually the side the TV cameras point...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

I can't talk for other Wellington rugby league fans, but for me it depends on the level of engagement each team has with us. Too often in the past, Wellington sports teams have been beaten by Christchurch/Canterbury province teams - especially in rugby & cricket - most often THEY are winners...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Forgot about that - yeah, North Harbour is a very odd beast.. kinda like an answer looking for it's question - and pretty much symptomatic of all that was wrong with having *how many* different councils all off doing their own vanity projects?

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Slightly different circumstances in the early 2000s though - the A-league was a new & unproven league, there was no precident for how a NZ professional football club operated (the Phoenix have done a lot of work on this, learning a lot of lessons along the way), let alone gathered and fostered...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Yeah, and it looks like that covered rectangular stadium Christchurch is building has certainly put that city on the radar for expansion. Three NZ teams - Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch-based - is a good footprint over here, and if Christchurch can snare an A-league AND an NRL club it...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Fair point, and I think one of the real advantages of NZ bids is that they've not had to deal with the media scrum around rugby league in Australia - so could more easily stick to a NDA. I guess a pertinent question is "Where have the Perth leaks come from?", as it might not even be the...
