    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

I think the biggest appeal with Fox's coverage of the NRL is that each game has it's own timeslot. In the past, there used to be two Saturday night games at 7:30pm. Now it's an easy flow on from one game to the next in a seemless way. Eg, Super Saturday, 3pm, 5:30pm and 7:30pm. You are not...

Dawn of the Dolphins on Stan

I kinda wish the " Dawn of the Dolphins" was on the NRL digital arm.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Except for the needless bubble roof structure. It makes it harder to expand AAMI Park in the future.

Then again, Suncorp was built without the need for the men’s World Cup or Olympics.

I was flicking the channels the other night, and saw your avatar on the front bar. It seemed odd at first.

As Grotd said, how often has the Gabba sold out in full capacity? A journo should've challenged him.

I wonder what Peter Fitzwilkinson thinks about this?

Looks like maintenance costs to prevent it from falling apart like Leichhardt Oval. Venue is still relevant for women's and NSW cricket.

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

I was a huge cricket fan back in the day when Border was captain. Then you had other great players like the Waugh twins, McGrath, Warnie, Ponting, Gilly etc. They were all hard nosed cricketers. But when Clarke became captain, the Australian side seemed to change. It was like a soft underbelly...

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

Cricket has been "meh" all summer. There hasn't been any contests. Australia will struggle to turn things around in India. Could be a 4-0 flogging. But the kick off to the NRL is only 18 days away (March 2).

Problem with four quarters is, a team could be on the attack at the start of there set at 19 min 40 sec mark, and they only have a couple of tackles left. The way it is at the moment, that team has a full set to attack the oppositions try line. If it ain't broke.....

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

The funny thing is, people on this forum are now noticing the NE part of the stand at Win. That's been there since 2002. We are now in 2023!

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I like your idea, but I don’t know if it would work with all Sydney clubs, especially the joint venture ones. Do the Wests Tigers need another home ground? With the Dragons, do you take a home game away from Wollongong? Once the stadium is built, over a five year period, have 8 to 10 games per...

Had a feeling you would say that about Stan Sports own viability as a standalone . In a way, it makes perfect sense for Foxtel to jag as much content away from Stan. The less content Stan has, the more likely they sell up. And one less rival for Fox to compete with. Foxtel recently did a deal...

If Stan don't get the content to remain relevant and competitive, would Nine consider selling it? And at the same time, keep Stan Sport?

Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

If Ten/Paramount have it nailed down with dollars, accessibility and service, then that would be the best outcome for the game. They would give the code a different outlook. But deep down, at least one of Nine or Fox gets it again. Most likely, it's the same two with Ten/Paramount missing out:(.

Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

I think Doc Brown did suggest that game 9 could go to another network, on the basis that an 18th team comes in, towards the end of this deal (2023-2027) and Fox weren't interested. Or words to that effect. At the end of the day, negotiations will most likely occur around 2025 or 2026. For...
