Unlike the majority of my QLD brethren, i have far more passion for my home regions NRL team than I do the SOO team. I find it hard to get enthusiastic to support a team that has Brisbane filth in it and fans supporting it.

But yes I'm aware Joey carved the f**k up out of QLD in 2005.
It is truly puke-worthy when a Qlder who supports a Qld NRL team says that they have a soft spot for the Storm, on account of all the Maroons greats who've played for them over the past 15 years.

It's like mate- they're the reason your beloved (insert Qld NRL team) haven't won more comps in that period.

Go to love a pun :) Ironically talks about womens cricket and mentions aflw but no mention of rugby league.

North Sydney Oval will be transformed into a premier sports venue after the NSW Liberal and Nationals Government committed $11 million to upgrade the popular sportsground if re-elected in March.
Premier Dominic Perrottet said improvements would be made to the playing surfaces, spectator seating, food and beverage outlets, and player and officials’ rooms.
“Players and fans alike will be bowled over by these upgrades which will enable North Sydney Oval to stage elite cricket matches and help support the growth of women’s sport in NSW,” Mr Perrottet said.
“This will attract even more supporters to watch on in comfort and style, thanks to the long-term economic plan of the Liberal and Nationals Government.”
Other upgrades include improvements to community and stakeholder spaces, public toilet amenities and broadcast media boxes.
Treasurer Matt Kean said the North Sydney community has been campaigning for an upgrade for some time.
“I love coming down to North Sydney Oval to watch our local sporting teams but to have the Aussie female cricket team here on a regular basis will be even more special,” Mr Kean said.
Minister for Sport Alister Henskens said investing in grassroots sport has a huge part to play in engaging the soaring number of female players in our local communities.

“North Sydney Oval has hosted some of cricket’s most important and memorable moments, including the inaugural day-night women’s Ashes Test in 2017 where Ellyse Perry scored an incredible double ton,” Mr Henskens.
“We want to continue growing female sport participation, and this project will ensure women and girls have a modern and fit-for-purpose venue to watch their sporting heroes in action.”
Cricket NSW CEO Lee Germon welcomed the NSW Government’s commitment to upgrade North Sydney Oval.
“This project was highlighted as part of a Cricket NSW plan released last month, and it is through the excellent collaboration with all stakeholders including the NSW Government, North Sydney Council and other sports clubs, that this has come to fruition," Mr Germon said.
“These upgrades will ensure North Sydney Oval is cemented as the home of women’s cricket in Australia and more and more people, particularly young girls and boys, are inspired to play and love cricket.”

It's now the main ground for womens cricket in Sydney. It's unsurprising it's getting an upgrade.

If the Bears were to return as Perth, sure play a pre-season game there. That seems reasonable. But their 'Sydney Membership' should be to games at Allianz, CommBank and Accor.

Exactly, its like the NSW Govt dont want to acknowledge its also hosts RL lol.
Well technically they aren't planning on hosting RL, they are upgrading a heritage listed oval, for the use it was intended for, cricket... just so happens north sydney bears play there in the off season, and possibly once or twice a year if dickson gets his way

Allianz only, to have just the one RL tennant there is wasteful and in my book sacrilege.. Dragons 3 (9Win) Bears 3 (9Cc), Roosters 12, Souths 12, that brand new stadium should never have a week off

Nsw govt wouldn’t let south’s break their lease because they were upset at vlandys

they allowed south’s to take one game a year there and when the current lease is up they will move their full time
