    Why do you think that is so ? does it suggest the next generation of sport followers in Victoria (assuming a lot of those engagements are from Vic.) are less parochial than your average f-ball cult member of previous generations or something else.

    Cannibalising not only refers to fans. In a small economy like NZ it could also refer to sponsors. Sponsors maybe a bit thin on the ground what with unions dominance there as well.

    Been saying that for years, if we can get it right with NZ a three Test series between our two countries would very quickly replace the bledisloe, it could be absolutely massive.

    From what I`ve read it has a lot more to do with the type of union they are playing in the northern hemisphere these days, stultifying territorial forward based game plans. Any team that dares to play what might be deemed (relatively speaking of course) an open ball-in-hand attacking type game...
