New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

That is the exactly how you respond to a rejected bid as a professional..WA Bears!

    18th club, whose next?

"That led to two rival bids – the South Island NRL Team bid and the South Island Kea, who had both garnered significant corporate and community support and made considerable progress. The first bid – with ex-Kiwis and Warriors coach Frank Endacott as its president – was the frontrunner but they...

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

The article posted earlier stated that the 2 south Island bids have been rejected. It says 2 right? Does that mean I can still hold hope that the mystery 3rd bid with rich backers has not..?

    18th club, whose next?

OK mate, it's not an issue. They'll have the secretary do it in their lunch break and all the players fans and sponsors will automatically assimilate to the new name and area in said lunch break. Potato.

    18th club, whose next?

You just said it's not an issue. Why change it then? I get that you can get around the ISSUE but it is an ISSUE. If it's not the EASTS TIGERS then it's a completely different thing.. Neither is it EAST or TIGERS... It's now just dudes with cash. Becoming a completely different entity called...

    18th club, whose next?

OK lol Easts.... in the West Tigers... already exist The whole name is an issue, none of it can be used.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Just a bit disappointed..lol I think I'll pass on the Perth Red style of excepting the news via endless rant lol Hopefully this is still in negotiations as the NRL has still requested the bids stay silent. Perhaps the NRL are negotiating a part ownership model while the finances aren't yet up...

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

Wow 3k ! The league is saved! Let's talk when you go to 20k... but that won't happen because as it stands, the population of Hull with 2 teams makes that impossible. As it stands, only half of Hull is possibly watching a Hull game on TV .. which is f**k all...then you wonder why the TV deal is...

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

I get that some of these clubs are strong but being such small towns means that they can't really grow and are tapped out for fans- tv views really suffer in this regard. Why aren't Salford rebranded as Manchester? All of Manchester can support them..they're alienating 80% of their potential...

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

Your right but I think we need to be heading in that direction. How are you going to ever get a good TV deal when the teams playing are representative of less than 100,000 people? It's ameture stuff. We need to be looking much bigger picture. The big 6 I suppose are still good enough but...

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

It's frustrating to look at the structure of SL . The size of the towns ( hardly cities) really could be a feeder comp to one representative of big cities.. Leeds is the only stand out large city. Maybe we should leave ( super league?) Exactly where it is and start an entirely new comp above...

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

The good thing is that all of the next highest ranking side are good size towns and or expansionary locations.

Latest IMG proposals for Super League

That's right, I said exactly... Perth is not a rugby league city. Repeat.. Perth is not a Rugby league city. And neither is London. Should Rugby league be given a chance to bed in in Perth- yes. Should Rugby league be given a chance to bed in in London- yes. Try being consistent with your...
