    Starc is competing with Johnson for our bowler who takes the most wickets with garbage deliveries. Never seen two bowlers get more wickets bowling dross. That said when both are on, they’re unplayable.

    Still remember listening to Punter say he wouldn’t want someone in his team if they were elite in 2 of the 3 disciplines of the game (batting/bowling/fielding), because stats aren’t kept on fielding performance if is often neglected but it boggles my mind that as many catches go down as they do.

    To be honest with Uzzy, Marny and Smith in shit form I’d tell him if he can maintain his form for a whole Shield season he will get his chance in our next test series replacing the worst performer of the 3 (McSweeny can move down the order of required). Deliver there and he gets an Ashes gig.

    I agree. Outside the grand finalists from last year and probably the sharks (who should comfortably make the top 4) I can see anyone else finishing almost anywhere. Every team has a reason to do well and a reason to do poorly. Makes for an interesting season.
