    Dyl was very ordinary at the start. He warmed into it though. Yeo outstanding as usual Alamoti had a good game apart from the miss on Hammer And I thought Soni Luke was excellent.

    Depends what you want from a player. Cartwright was more skillful and reliable. Geyer was a flat out lunatic. Both great, but in different ways.

    It's subjective really. Like you say if it's achievement then its' just a matter of coming up with the best 17 from the past 4 years. I'll be looking at it as the ultimate Panthers dream team, so will be interested in the discussions on how you narrow down Cleary, Luai, Brandy, Freddy, Preston...

    This is true, but a glorified trial just adds to the risk. Taylan May missed the entire 2023 season off the back of a WCC injury. Karma? Yes, but the point still stands. Injuries through normal activities suck, but they are part of the game, no need to up the degree of likelihood unnecessarily.

    A lot of angst over what is essentially a trial game. For it to mean anything it needs to be against the teams that actually played in the GFs. With a 27 round comp there is no room for it.

    Yeah true. I couldn't help thinking the same when players that are still going to be here were referencing the last ride theme. The injection of new blood should help with that hopefully. That and they obviously enjoy winning. Also the chances of ever going 4 straight again starting from scratch...

    The thing with Cole that gives me hope is Edwards looked like one of those players that would be in rehab more often than not when he first hit NRL. The last 5 years he has been pretty durable for someone with his work rate.
