I don't think travel costs will be an issue, I would expect the NRL will cover it, as they do for the Men's.

GC & Canberra are both out, they aren't bidding for a license. Cronulla surprisingly don't sound too keen.

it's aligned to NRL club brands, so there cant be more than 1 Brisbane team.

It should be thought about as starting a new national comp, which means you don't go putting half the teams in one city. Brisbane NQ Canberra Melbourne NZ (provided there's a draft) 1 club from Sydney

Holden are the naming rights sponsor after the Holden Cup was scrapped. This comp will eventually probably come to look a lot like the NYC, which begs the question about allegedly scrapping the NYC for financial reasons.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

When was the last time Fitzsimmons actually attended a sporting event where he wasn't seated in the corporate box, alongside his wife and her multimillion annual salary? The guy is a relentless self promoting narsasist prentending to be the crusader of the downtrodden taxpayers. The argument...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Watch NSW f**k this up yet again. The only reason it's costing so much now is because they've been allowed to wither on the vine for years instead of being proactive and fixing them. The longer they wait the more it's going to cost. Or in ten years time when the new stadiums would have been 5...

He was sacked for going ape shit at Penrith's CEO. Andrew Hill has been in charge long enough to put his touch on the event, he's done an unimpressive job imo.

The evidence will be the number of empty seats at the final.

You have missed the point, if it's not because of lack of interest & if it's "got everything going for it" why are people not going? It's basic supply/demand, a lot of people aren't choosing to go at that price point.

yet none of that has translated into crowds in Australia.

got over 50k so it went pretty close, judging by ticketek this game will be doing well to hit 40k, and a lot of the empty seats will be behind the posts on the lower bowl, which can't be hidden by cameras and will look awful. Can't believe they haven't started a fire sale & giveaways yet.
