    I will be absolutely amazed if there's more than 15k to either Canberra or SFS, but especially the SFS, which couldn't even get 20k for a couple of NRL finals but suddenly 20k+ are going to waltz in for ENG v lebanese? I think some of you guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment.

    Probably would have, and Newcastle deserve a game, but when governments are offering guaranteed revenue upfront, plus the gate, it's not really a difficult decision when the primary aim of the tournament is to make money to fund development. It's a shame the NSW government reneged.

    Looks ugly, not surprising when the "sporting capital of Australia" have had zero coverage of the opening game of a World Cup. If it doesn't improve it's bloody embarrassing and hurts the whole tournament.
