    The Rumours Thread

While I doubt Flanagan will show any interest in RFM from the Dogs, with the news Ryan Sutton has also been tapped could be seen differently. Always thought Sutton was a handy and reliable forward who can cover a few positions in the pack. A lot of clubs are now starting to look at clearing the...

Rothfield is reporting in the Telegraph that Sullivan will more than likely join Wests Tigers this week.

Prefer Sele over Luke Thompson. Even on the cheap, Thompson has played next to no football the past few seasons. One junior hopefully on the way back, maybe Luciano Leilua will follow???

JF full time. Dragons 26 d Storm 18.

    Spoon watch 2023

I think the games we are a chance in are v Manly in Wollongong next Saturday afternoon @5.30, and the last round v Knights at Kogarah in the Saturday night @7.30pm game. Could get ugly for us in a few of the games in between those two.

KOE (ex Canterbury Cup) and Jersey Flegg

Dragons leading 22-14 early in the 2nd half of the Flegg v Storm. Benjamin Rumble 2 tries so far.

Correction. Adam Pompey from the Warriors.

    Battle for the ages R21.

With Flanagan wanting to recruit 2 new outside backs, possibly the plan is for a new left winger and new centre with Lomax shifting to fullback. That Adam Pomeroy the centre from the Warriors is unsigned for 2024.

    New recruits for 2023

Plus Mbye reportedly moving on immediately gives us not only salary cap space for 2024, but hopefully at least one new signing prior to 7 August.

I have no comments to make about the game itself, but I will say this..... Dragonsssssssssssssssssssssss.

    New recruits for 2023

Heard Flanagan talking about his recruitment plans on a 2GB interview online a few weeks back. Said he will be talking to lots of players in the coming months, also saying he did speak with Luke Thompson. Not surprised about any rumours like Sele and possibly Luciano wanting to come back...

    Battle for the ages R21.

I think this game will go down to the wire. A lot of people and the media keep talking up Wests roster, but the bottom line is they have dished up pretty much the same rubbish as we have all season. Carr would be drilling into their heads the importance of a win that could take us a long way...

KOE (ex Canterbury Cup) and Jersey Flegg

KOE Cup score update. Dragons leading Penrith 36-16 with 12 minutes to play. Sione Finau 2 tries of the 6 scored. Lobb 6/6 conversions.

Another way of looking at it is if we beat the Tigers next week we go 4 points clear of them with a much greater for and against.

KOE (ex Canterbury Cup) and Jersey Flegg

Big win for our Jersey Flegg team today, defeating Penrith 26-20, even after Ben Rumble spent 10 minutes in the sin bin. Bird playing again today in the KOE Cup game.

Thanks for the win tonight Newcastle Knights. Gives the Dragons that tiny bit of breathing space from that dreaded spoon.

    New recruits for 2023

I think another one who will become a favourite is Tamale. Being upgraded to the top 30 squad in 2024 to me means the Lomax to fullback move could be back on the cards also sometime in 2024.

Thinking it will be Bird and Russell in the second row in the medium term. Who knows what will happen with Hunt, but leading us to a win in a game that a win should get us away from the spoon would be a good way to say goodbye.

Would not surprise if the injury for BMM sees him get a tap on the shoulder by Flanagan and he ends up retiring. Hope the news about Sua is not that serious.

    The Rumours Thread

Further to Rava extending to 2026, Fox Sports are also reporting M Molo and JDB have both activated their options for 2024. The article also mentioned Dylan Egan and Hamish Stewart have both been extended with a view to them both joining the top 30 squad sometime in the future. No specific...
