    Pfft. Shortland was around for years and did bugger all. Ben MacDougall is a very shrewd signing, clearly a better player than his overrated dud brothers. He did well for us in his first stint here, definitely worth the punt considering we have poor depth in the backs and he will be getting paid...

    I'm a Rhino man as well, so definitely looking forward to this. I am just hoping for an exciting, close game with no injuries. I couldn't care less who wins.

    I hope either he or Russell Aitken can step up next year and push Greggy back out to the centres. Being a kicker is a bonus too. IMO we need to take the kicking off Smith who has a big enough workload already.

    No he isn't, Brett White is easily our best prop. Ben Cross is much better, and Jeff Lima's GF was as good as any game Kaufusi has ever played. Adam Blair has the potential to be a better prop than him as well. His loss could be very easily covered. There is no guarantee he will get even close...

    I'd rather keep Newton, Crossman and Smith and get rid of Kaufusi. So overrated.

    Smith is a lot older than people probably think, he's 28 next year. Newton is 27. So we'd get more years out of Newton, and IMO he is a better player anyway. I really like Smith, but I reckon this one is a no-brainer.

    Blair hasn't played in a while now, very disappointing as I rate him highly. 8-13 is pretty obvious, it has been the same for months. I'd have Crocker, Lima, Blair and Geyer off the bench. Jeremy Smith is beyond unlucky. In fact, we should be allowed to play 18 just because we can't fit him in.

    IMO he's no good and we should not be playing him, for a number of reasons. Mainly because he is no good (every minute he was off the park last night we started to play well), but also because he won't be at the club next year. Smith needed a rest, fair enough, but now that's over, so is James'...

    I'd only go back to big Kirk if he were on pretty much minimum wage. He'll probably head over to the UK though, money is obviously very important to him.

    Kevin Proctor

    He's still schooling apparently and hasn't even played QLD Cup this year. Would be a massive step up to go from school rugby to NRL within a year. We might need to be patient, but from what I've heard he could be well worth the wait.
