    Shortland has been around for a while, but I'm yet to see anything worthwhile there. Anthony Perkins, Sam Joe, Josh Tatapu, one of these guys has to step up. Although I wouldn't assume that Geyer retires either, I reckon he will play on again next year.

    Definitely like to see Smith get a shot at 7. It is the more important position out of halfback and hooker, so go with your best and most experienced player in the more important position IMO.     I doubt we will even go looking for another prop. We might if Crossman goes as well but with White, Kaufusi, Blair, Vaughan, Anderson, Tolman, we have enough options IMO.

    Only get him if King does go to England, otherwise I can't fit him into our backline. Especially considering he probably won't come cheap. I think he would do well in League, he would be wise to leave Union.

    I doubt the Newton signing will have any impact on Cross' situation. Newton has been signed for this year, whilst we are trying to find room for Cross for next year.
