    Mary could easily have replicated Meninga's success: * don't change the lineup? check * create good atmosphere in the camp? check SOO only goes for three games - not enough time to have a slump either!

    This isn’t particularly scientific I admit - but whenever I see either of them in the coaches box during origin I get the impression they don’t know what the f**k they are doing. They seem to be good at organising team bonding drinks - but we already have a coach that does that.

    I was half joking. But there is an element of truth there. Bennett's three years at the dragons all included a post-origin slump. (and in two seasons we were bundled out of the finals without a win) Remember when he came in and said we had soft bellies? He flogged the team in the pre-season...
