    Indonesia but Not Bali

I used to go to ubud quite a lot over 20 years ago. I’ve been told it has changed quite a lot with the whole Eat, Pray, Love crowd taking over. The monkey forest is probably still a nightmare though and is no doubt full of angry nasty monkeys.

    Indonesia but Not Bali

I went to university in central and eastern Java and visit when I can. Yogyakarta is a great place. Borobudur and prambanan temples can be done in a day with an organised group. Tickets are sold on Jl Sosrowijayan near the city centre. They also offer day trips to the south coast of Java...

West Belconnen 9s - Canberra day long weekend

This should be great fun. Starts tomorrow night. Quite a few former Raiders involved too. Joel Monaghan should also be there according to the media.

What Arm Do You Wear Your Watch On?

They are designed for the left hand. Note where the main button/knob thingy is. It’s easy for the right hand to manipulate/wind as required.

    Nice and steep.

Expansion looming in A-League - The Contrast with the NRL

Many a-League games get 30-40k viewers on TV. That’s less than Super Rugby. How will the new clubs fund themselves?

Kangaroos to Qatar "I've been every where man"

If they paid me a $1 million I’d even play in a game of afl in Qatar ..... On second thoughts make that $2 million.

    Women's NRL

I watched Raiders v Panthers in the Tarsha Gale cup over the weekend. Great entertainment and if some of these players move onto the WNRL in the coming years it’d be great for the competition.

How to start playing Rugby League

Have you played a contact sport before? If you decide to play request extra focus on tackling technique. Oztag is also awesome and has a broad range of people playing

Count down to Wollongong: the Poms (and French) are coming

I hate it. If a rugby league game broke out on stage it’d be great.

Count down to Wollongong: the Poms (and French) are coming

There were 1000s of English fans. Hull had over 2000 travel over although it looked like they had even more.

Count down to Wollongong: the Poms (and French) are coming

Most people want a complete package of experiences. The NRL competes with cinemas, concerts, the beach, bowling alleys etc for family attention. Standing on a dirt hill in the rain with a quiet crowd barely appeals to anybody. Regardless, the NRL will never match what Wigan v Hull FC could as...

Count down to Wollongong: the Poms (and French) are coming

Yes. The skills were lower with the SL players but the whole match day experience was superior in every way. Significantly superior.

Count down to Wollongong: the Poms (and French) are coming

I never attend matches purely for the game. I attend for the whole package. If last night is any indication, SL beats NRL every time and SL should bring rugby league to the world and not the NRL.
