    India in 2018 ENWC

500 in a boutique stand would be great. When Serbia toured a while back they were able to tap into the Serbian community of Sydney and get quite a few people to their games.

    India in 2018 ENWC

I really hope they get some crowds even if they are small. I’d hate to see it end up like the AFL World Cup they play in Victoria every now and then. I hope it gets some media coverage and at the very least live streaming of games to at least the quality of a good Bar TV Sports rugby league...

Nice How do I join that public service?

    India in 2018 ENWC

Agree. There’s a chance WRL will cynically exploit involvement to create the illusion of a broader WRL world.

Qatar sheik worth an estimated $60 billion wants to invest in the NRL

Imagine the global talent he could buy for coaching, training, rehabilitation, administration, marketing etc

Uh-oh - Fiji v NZ - June 2018 in Syd (Triple Header?) - Denver gooooorn

Fiji v NZ will involve more NRL players risking injury than an Eng v NZ match. How is it club driven if the highest risk game goes ahead?

    Women's NRL

If Canberra gets a team they need to throw up some posts out at McKellar Park, where the W-League plays, and let them draw their own crowd. Many women and families with girls are used to attending that stadium. I’d attend and so would many families. The tickets can also be cheaper. If it’s...

    Women's NRL

http://m.nrl.com/nrl-womens-premiership-set-to-launch/tabid/10874/newsid/116762/default.aspx The whole double header thing means they play in front of a crowd of 2000 and people have to pay for a standard NRL ticket or even a finals ticket to get in. That’ll keep the new families out who just...

Qatar sheik worth an estimated $60 billion wants to invest in the NRL

The government of Oman put $40k into this junior club in Sydney just because they were asked. The same business man has the connections in Qatar. I’ll still believe it when I see it though. http://www.theleader.com.au/story/3918906/omani-sponsor-helps-juniors/

    Qatar investment in RL.

you don’t have to trust them but rugby league, as it grows, will inevitably spread to all types of countries. If he wants to invest let him or he may end up investing in the rebel governing body. As rugby league still isn’t officially recognised that’s always a risk.

    Qatar investment in RL.

With the consortium linked to the NFL flying to NZ a few weeks back to investigate the Warriors (as per NZ media articles) it looks like a broader range of people are starting to at least consider the NRL as something they can put money into.

    Qatar investment in RL.

The same Australian businessman connected to this got $40k out of the Oman government for his son’s junior club in Sydney. Oman is now written across their playing gear.

    Qatar investment in RL.

Great news. Hopefully he’s in touch with the relevant bodies in Tonga, Samoa and Fiji to get this tri-nations event happening. I imagine this will help some of the Tongan players stick with Tonga.

    How to unify Italy RL

They have to be made outcasts by getting official recognition of RLIF. They also then have to have a lack of opportunities made really obvious...... even then it’s a slim chance the rebels will “come home “
