Rumoured and Confirmed Signings and Other Assorted Crap VII

Bitching aside, what did the Weasel say about Folau? I didn't catch the News, and I'm interested in the story; lots of people seem to think Folau is a chance for 2013, and I'm guessing with Ricky here those stories will be cropping up even more.

Tottenham Hotspur: "To Dare Is To Do" II

We should keep Huddlestone. However, a loan would probably be a good idea, especially if AVB has his heart set on a proper Modric replacement. I'm happy with Sandro and Livermore as our defensive pairing, but Huddlestone is a better passer than either of them.

You're calling Parker average? Good shout for a player who has regularly been in Player of the Year contention over the past two seasons. :sarcasm:

I love how people assume they've signed players when in reality they aren't done deals.....

Trust me Twiz, 12 million for Cazorla is not "so much" by any stretch of the imagination. It is one of the bargain buys of the season so far. I wouldn't say he's exactly world class but he's an excellent, excellent player. "So much" would be Moutinho money.

Being a striker, for Giroud to have more goals would make sense. You do realize Hazard isn't a striker, right? Or did you forget that Hazard is probably one of the top five young players in the world right now? Giroud and Podolski are quality but they aren't world class.

I think it was the second game at the Bernebau, I'm not too sure but I think it was near the end of the season. I recall at the time I was pulling my hair out because Barcelona were really breathing down our necks. Agreed about Spain, it's ridiculous how loaded they are in virtually every...

:D I know we won't get Falcao, it's just clear that we have really high targets when we actually did inquire about him. I think Leandro keeps stalling because Inter are playing hard-ball, that and Leandro's value keeps rising, which doesn't suit Levy. I think Levy is going to pay for not being...

Arsenal have signed some very good players, no doubt. But do you really think Spurs are done this window? We've been trying for players like Falcao FFS lol. Also have to laugh at what you say about Sigg and Vertonghen. Both are very highly rated and cheap additions to the squad. Did you watch...

    Barba 2012 vs Hayne 2009

Barba has been fantastic but to compare him to Hayne's run is silly. We'll see at the end of the season, but as it is, you can say three things; 1. Barba has been great all season. 2. Hayne was untouchable in the second half of the season (Origin and post-Origin). 3. Hayne did it in an average...

    Robbie Farah > Smith

 He's not Johnathon Thurston by any means but he's still by far the best hooker in the game. The only reason people are saying differently now is because of Melbourne's poor form post Origin which, hilariously, has happened in the past. People have really short memories. And as for not...

Ricky Stuart - New Eels coach

Our attack has hardly been the major issue this year. Our defence is woeful.

Rumoured and Confirmed Signings and Other Assorted Crap VII

Uh-huh. The only possibility is that his coaching ability is gone  I'm pretty damn sure Penrith wanted to hire him as a coach initially, but he rejected their offer and instead took up the managerial role. Given his ego, it is understandable. If he really wanted to coach them, he would...

Rumoured and Confirmed Signings and Other Assorted Crap VII

Well, they did run out of toilet paper..... Actually, scratch that. That isn't an issue Phil Gould would ever fix. But, using the logic that the Penrith board had, they signed a retired coach that had been commentating for years/aging badly/had little true management experience to speak of in...

Rumoured and Confirmed Signings and Other Assorted Crap VII

Becuase you implied he isn't coaching at Penrith because of his current abilities as a coach, or because of how he is seen by the rugby league community. What does "There's a reason he's not coaching Penrith" mean then, if not what was implied? Given also that the prior sentence was "Nowadays...

Ricky Stuart - New Eels coach

My only real issue with Ricky is his team selections, other than that I would say I am very happy with how NSW performed in the past two Origin series.

Chris Anderson to help Stephen Kearney at Parramatta Eels

Announced by the club that he is departing as Kearney's mentor. Not rubbing it into anyone here but that surely others must see the irony here. How long was he here for, a week and a half?
