    I can tell you one thing, if the Dogs had of got beaten in the same way, Hasler would have burnt the joint down and been writing a 10k cheque as we speak. Bennetts "turn the other cheek" schtick is a waste of time, it buys us zero goodwill with the refs and hasn't improved our karma one iota...

    The real issue is that we aren't willing to cut our losses with recruitment mistakes like a lot of other clubs do. We'll hang onto Uate until the bitter end now and probably give him another contract. Uate, jimmy mac, Gids and Boyd should be moved onto in an orderly process.

    My central concern is that our defence is leaking like a sieve and the dogs will just rumble forward with their big men. Last year our defence was good even when we couldn't buy a try. Not so this year.

    I know that a number of posters wiped Glenn Stewart but he might of been the last realistic chance of signing a creative forward we had.

    Because our only wins this year have been against teams that were clueless, the dogs aren't going that bad. Bennett isn't dumb, he'll know we need a miracle to get close to the dogs so he is giving Smith a rest to get him right for a more winnable game.
