    I don't know about having it as "the country your born in"... My mate lived in England untill he was 2, but remembers nothing of the place (he's never been back) and supports Australia in all sports... hypothetically, if he was an elite league player and was good enough to represent Australia...

    That is exactly what I mean! Although they have a large section on league, generally the commentary is utter rubbish... The herald is far more objective and insightful in what they write, even if there isn't neccessarily as much of it.

    No offence, but the RWC final and the NZ V Aus semi shat all over Origin in terms of intensity and quality of play... If you don't like or understand union then you may think otherwise, but other than that no one would say last years RWC final was inferior to origin.

    Actually to be honest I thought the Ashes series against the poms was of a much higher standard than most origin series I've seen over the past few years...     Origin 1 was shit house... hardly any creative play in it at all. This was better than Origin 1 and 3, not as good as 2 though... It seriously did exeed my expectations that match, a pleasure to watch even if the handling struggled at times... I'm looking forward to the England matches...

    I've never seen it, but out of the Aussie I know who like NFL they actually say the CFL has better rules and is more interesting to watch... (they both went on a working holiday visa's to Canada about 3 years ago).
