    PNG Kumuls v PMXIII

Apparently this is still going ahead, but you wouldn't know it. I've been trying to find some media on it. There was a story in the PNG media back in May saying it attaining full Test status. Another article on the NRL site also around the same time claimed that all players not in the Grand...

    2019 Newcastle revamp?

Anyone hear any rumours about this? Real NRL club mergers. Couple of Central Coast teams. Lower Hunter grade promotions to a new comp.. :open_mouth:

    Vichy thread

I wonder is President Macron is aware of the events of WWII Vichy? Perhaps now would be a good time to strike and try and provide some sort of justice for the game and what happened. Return of property and compensation? If Macron is aware of the game but not it's history why not start at the top?

    Pacific Tests/Championships

This sounds promising. Can the game move on from it's past inaction and finally unleash it's potential? If only the NH replicate with France and Wales.. https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/06/23/new-pacific-championship-to-give-nations-regulartests/

    Benji Marshall..

Will he and should he be on the plane to Denver? The whole idea of the match is to sell the game to the Americans on the path to 2025. I think take him along and let him rip? The West Tigers are where they are at the moment - IMHO - because of a resurgant Benji.

Kiwi tour to England and France

Gotta get this off my chest. I realise it's probably too late (and would probably look farcical) but am I the only one who isn't thinking why are a full strength Tonga not touring with the Kiwis to England for a Tri Nations (with a game each against France)? Now I know that funding is...

    2017/2018 Elite 1

Ok, first up, apologies for being a techno dimwit lol, but I was looking for info on the upcoming season for Elite 1 and came across some stuff on Livescores.com. I tried but have no idea how to cut and paste link on my Android.. Anyway, it appears that the comp isn't starting till December...

Official Nein stance on 2017 RLWC..

I'm interested to know what the official Ch9 stance is for their commentators in regard to the RLWC.. Unless I'm blind (and I was imbibing during all 3 games) I didn't see any signage for the tournament from the camera angles. Did Ch9 demand their removal? Surely SOO would have been the ideal...

    England v France in Perth

Just watched Youtube highlights of the England v France match during the 2013 WC and even though the French scored 1st, the Poms soon made short work of them particularly out wide.. It ended up being 34-6.. Hoping to go to the Perth game and with a few extra French players in other SL clubs...

Is it time to revamp the ANZAC Test..

We know that the May Test is to be no more after next month, but remember when the now Trans Tasman Test WAS actually the ANZAC Test? Could there be scope for a return of a Test match between the Australian Kangaroos and the New Zealand Kiwis on whatever day ANZAC Day falls? This would require...

Pay off for PNG after WC?

There's no doubt the PNG home games in the WC are going to go off. Tickets should be snapped up pretty fast and it will look good on Tv. But does anyone think that this will pay off for PNG in other ways? Stronger domestic comp? More PNG players in NRL and ESL? More Tests or even Tours to PNG...

    Fiji hopefully on the move..

Couple of great stories in this weekend's Sydney media..Now hopefully they aren't nicked for Origin and/or the Kangaroos.. A full strength tour to Europe to play England and France would have been ideal preparations for WC2013...

Hmmm.. The latest ediition of the Rugby League Review - now Bi Monthly BTW, with an explanation in the next issue - has announced - via The Detective who battles with the Game Plan's The Mole for the least credibility - that apparently Sth Africa is going to bid for the 2017 Rugby League World...

    World Cup betting

Wrote to Sportsbet last week because they still had 10-12 teams and countries that weren't participating but no odds for qualifyers like USA and Italy.. To their credit they emailed back to say they would look into it and this weekend they have changed the betting to coincide with the correct...
