I guess this is true, just as the NRL is effectively NSWRL with some token sides thrown in there.

They can't just pick and choose which game to air into each state. Swans-Giants is a Foxtel produced game, which Seven is able to simulcast live into NSW/ACT under the home state coverage provision of the broadcast deal. This is why most of the games selected for "national" coverage heavily skew...

Cats v Dogs will rate far higher in Victoria. This would be a Channel 7 decision.

This is intended so the Swans game can be shown live on Channel 7 in NSW for maximum ratings. The Swans v Giants game would normally be on Saturday night however under the current broadcast deal this would mean a Foxtel exclusive telecast, and a 2 hour delay on FTA in NSW.

What's your point exactly? How strange to fixate on people's ethnicities🤔

I'd like to see you say that to Allir Allir, Isaac Quaynor or Latrelle Pickett.

Norwood and Barossa are not regular stadia, they are used for a one-off theme round. Similar to how the NRL plays games at places like Bathurst and Mudgee.

5 of the 9 games were at Adelaide Oval. You can't play all 9 games there over a 4 day period.

If you want to see tribalism and history wait until Thursday night when Carlton and Collingwood play in front of a sold-out MCG.

The difference is that the AFL want to play at elite modern state-of-the-art stadiums, not suburban shitholes like Kogarah or Shark Park.

NRL games will be played there too. Not to mention Big Bash, A-League, Super Rugby.

I was just referring to OzTAM metro markets. I stand by my observation that Melbourne is the #1 market. And the NRL would be a lot stronger here if not for the disgraceful and hypocritical treatment of the Storm during David Gallop's reign of incompetence. But that's another story.

What's your point in posting all this? Sunday Night AFL was main channel in two markets only, so most of this information is completely irrelevant. Anyone that knows anything about Australian media knew that MAFS would win the ratings by a landslide margin. If Seven replaced the AFL with a...
