Parra 2007 NRL 25 man squad

Not sure who would make way for him. Probably Weller Hauraki. Although I believe you need plenty of props in an NRL squad

    Teams v Tigers

Thanks mate, I havent seen much of David play but I have some very good judges say he is a lot better prospect than John. Is he a similar build and play similar position etc.

    Teams v Tigers

I see Tony Williams in the centres for Flegg. Has he been playing there the last few weeks? Do people think that is his long term position or in the backrow? Also where is David Williams?

Is anyone else really concerned about this?

I am still quite concerned our recruitment strategy for next year especcially in terms of depth. The list of players we are letting go of next or are still unsigned for next year could actually make a decent 17 man squad. I have put a question mark next to the guys whose contract situation I am...

Fitzgerald denied link to Jason Smith

Yeah mate I was just stirring. Seriously though are there many players left on the market worth signing?

Fitzgerald denied link to Jason Smith

Has anyone been offered a contract by us (just joking I think)

    weller 18th man

Hopefully will play as I think our bench is a bit small. Hopefully come in to the side for J Smith with PJ going to the halves, and dummy half to be shared while Riddell is off and Widders on

    MR:- Jeremy Smith to Souths

Good luck Jeremy. IMO we have better young halves options at the club. Has Marcus P gone completely off the radar. He is not a hooker imo and that move this year affected him

Eels show interest in Jason Smith

The thing is as I was writing that piece I was even starting to second guess myself. Say we do sign Jason. It would mean we could have a ball player either side of the ruck with Tim one side and Jason the other creating two dilemna's for opposing defences especially near the try line. Also as...

Eels show interest in Jason Smith

I love watching Jason Smith and really enjoy his skills. He is a true footballer instead of an athlete. However I don't think he is suited to Parra at the moment. He is imo the best 5/8th option on the market but not a great fit for us. As a lot of people have mentioned, what we need is a...

    John Morris

Not wanting to create an argument but there is fair difference. How many games has Morris played as a first grade 5/8th and how many have the other 3 played as first grade 5/8ths between them.Morris played in a minor premiership winning side as a 5/8th. Are the others proven? I also believe...

    John Morris

    double post sorry

    John Morris

All agreed but I see the problem as being we had no insurance at 5/8th. My main question is did we let him go too quickly without any alternatives. I have no real problems with him leaving, just the timing

    Flying 'rake' scores four

Looking at theam lists this week Inu is 3 (left centre?) and Guru 5 (right Winger?) I wanted to keep Smith and Grothe on the same side as I think they have a great combo. But surely it is not difficult for wingers to change sides.

    John Morris

Now that the whole silly season has settled down a bit, what do people make of the decision to release John Morris so easily before the anti-tampering deadline had even expired. At the time I thought we must definately have someone wrapped up to play 5/8th next year. However as can now be seen...

    Flying 'rake' scores four

From what I have seen of Inu he is IMO a better winger than centre. I actually thought he may play first grade before Hayne. Hayne Inu Tahu Smith Grothe Has the POTENTIAL to become one of the best group of outside backs in the NRL.

Yeah I have pretty massive wraps on Inu as well. Lets just say the future looks rosy

Eels show interest in Jason Smith

If one club needs an organiser like J Smith it is the roosters. I mean Anasta, Finch and Harrison between them could not organise a root in a brothel. However I feel no sympathy for them.

    Flying 'rake' scores four

Some players just look like natural athletes and Jarryd is one of them. Tahu is another example. Hope Hayne turns out as good if not better than Tahu
