    Round 4 v Dogs

Totally agree - Clune’s a great attacker, so did the whole first half, throw the ball the opposite way.

    Team v Dirty Dirty Broncos

Stale fish - I've heard it's manly. That's what some players within the 20s group are saying. I haven't seen anything official but I would think it's on the money.

    Illawarra V Blacktown

Agreed, but critically a coach that players want to play for. Think about it Head. You carry a player who had the flu was into the game who you didn't play and drop a fit large middle to do so. This is to perhaps qualify this player for finals? Stupid. You have to get there first. One more loss...

    Illawarra V Blacktown

Clune was dropped an hour before the game. I thought he had been giving the side some good options around the ruck. Jurd was dropped during the day also, who is a middle, I assume for one of the returning players from Brisbane. Blacktown won the game through the middle in the second half. Four...

    SAINTS V PANTHERS.

sharp - the boys looking sharp. how good did Vaughn go early

    SAINTS V PANTHERS.

Patrick Herbert - Good player all round - but certainly not a 5/8. players outside him screaming for the ball. He can through good individual effort, score points - but setting up play and putting outside backs through holes - no.

I also heard Nathan lestigaga is joining North Sydney Bears in the NSW Cup.

Coast I think Jurd signed a Cutters contract for 2017. I hear he just had shoulder surgery after playing half the year in the 20s carrying an injury. Should be back in couple of months to full training.

Big future for luuch, just hope it's with us. Matt Duffy had a strong game last night, got the boys out of trouble with some speed behind the goal line etc, was sitting there praying for a Duffy long range special to save us. Great year though. Tons of positives coming through.

Agree coast. I was at the game as well. Right side centre appeared to be carrying an injury?? Not sure - after the first try on the right it was obvious he was struggling. Young Gallagher didn't get on last night and may have proved a good replacement. Starting Esau over Jurd is frustrating. I...

    Favourite 2017 Dragons Player

Tyson for me. Tough, hard and honest. Character that a forward should show each week. Great example to younger forwards how to go about their work.

Yes I agree that's a big young prop. Dimensions aside (though they are still sizeable young dragons) my main point comes back to this: if our own young players are performing better and have achieved a higher win rate in the 20s this year - which cannot happen without a dominate front row - then...

    Dugan

If he can just stay injury free ... Playing like Saturday night, I want to see him with us long term.

This summary is spot on. These young props are all the same age. The young guys we have and the one we've just brought. Appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks Doc for the support. Coast cheers for the comments. Was a member of the forum before but after upgrade could not use login. So like you - I you love my dragons and like the culture it brings to our club when we play our own talent ... When we can.

I would be surprised to see the Trbojevic family move. John & Mel the boy's parents run the junior league there with both on the committee and Mel running the canteen. They have two younger boys (twins) coming through too. We have travelled to football carnivals with them. Very Manly orientated...

Doc - I agree with taking a punt on a big body to see what it may bring for us. Our current props in the 20s in Jurd and Lawrie are sore and bruised for days after each game. They have much the same game if we win by 20 or lose by 20. Hard, physical and punishing. They have proved their...

Try telling that to our young props who have carried the 20s into a final contender place - and not being looked at. He takes a place that now will not be offered to our current 20s dragon prop register. We are killing it in the 20s. Look after them first. Victoria later. IMO.

    Josh Kerr

Why sign a young 20s prop from Victoria. Gents back to our young props. We have Matt Jurd (2014- NSW origin, NSW school boys) 2015 NSW 20s origin pathways, come through SG ball and two years of 20s. For our mighty dragons. We have Blake Lawrie with similar pedigree and playing history NSW...
