    Burgess in the clear

As a pom, I agree. He should have got a yellow at least and should have been suspended. It seems that the legacy of previous test have given the impression that the home side is allowed to claim the benefit of the doubt, which could encourage Mason type incidents if it is allowed.

    GB Realism?

An interesting article from Andy Wilson that puts the seriousness of the gulf in rugby league between GB and Australia into perpective: http://sport.guardian.co.uk/rugbyleague/comment/0,,1957444,00.html I think his assessment is spot on. Furthermore, I do not think tinkering, with a few less...

LIVE UPDATES - Tri Nations Game 6 - Australia vs GB

Peacock and Roby are doing well, the the difference in the teams is stark. Clearly Australia would rather face the Kiwis in the final ;).

LIVE UPDATES - Tri Nations Game 6 - Australia vs GB

He has had some terrible games, though his effort cannot be questioned. Newton is worse, and Roby's better performance really highlights this.

    patriotic

It is not so much that we have abandoned them, more that we are expecting less from the performance. We want them to win as much, just do not think it so likely to happen.

officials in aus n nz are sh1t

Mr Pom, I think you should be more considerate to our Aussie friends. They may seem not to like the Queen, but they voted to keep her as their Head of State instead of trusting an Aussie to do the job. Personnally I would have voted for a republic, but each to their own.

The Tri-Nations combined team of the series

I am slightly offended you put Mason in ahead of myself.

    NZ performance v GB

Whilst Mr Angle does not seem the most incisive, he may well have a point. Certainly, I remember the last series GB lost 2-1 (I think) to the Aussies when it was 1-1 going into the final game. The Kangaroos then pulled out a breath taking performance. GB fans were in mourning, but I remember...

:-k I did not realise that Australia were playing their Jim Beam Cup team. My apologies.

We would not have a chance against the Gods. Thor looks solid at prop forward and they have recruited Ulysesses at half back (another possible Granny gate?).

I agree, I do not think the British pack is bad, only that the Kiwi pack is better.

I think the main difference was in the packs. Sean Long has not become worse in a week, but last week the pack gave him time and possession. Against the Kiwi pack, he had neither and so his kicking was worse. Jones, on the other hand, had the time and space to show what he could do.
