    Should they finish last ...

If Wigan finish bottom and the team who wins NL1 meets the criteria then Wigan should go down. Lets not forget that although no Wigan will probably mean reduced attendances in SL, it will have a huge impact in NL1. Just imagine the mighty Wigan travelling to places like Batley, Rochdale etc...

    2006 Superleague TV Times

Jason, if you dont get to see a replay of the fantastic Saints-Hull match drop me a PM. I can sort you a copy of the game though it might take a week or two to get it sorted.

Trial match (2006): Souths vs Panthers

Hightown Tiger makes his Panthers debut. Big things expected of this 'Pom'!!! Something for the weekend I like to think I’m a traditional rugby league fan. I prefer standing over sitting at matches. I’d like my team, Castleford Tigers, to revert back to their old colours of black and amber...

    Cas go back up.

Well we can't be picky at the moment. Althohg I'm happy to see us signing up some of the squad, not all of them are up to it. In fact, there's just 2 players who I think we should re-sign-Kain and Adam Watene. I think Mcavoy would do a job for us.

    Cas go back up.

BBC say Shenton, Platt and Blanch are now signed up. So missing from my list of those I'd like to retain is just Adam Watene. Paul Handforth has also re-signed. We've also been linked with former player Mark Lennon, currently playing reggies with Manly. Aaron Smith is a difficult player to...

    Cas go back up.

Yes Phillips, he played for Bradford before coming to Castleford. He played in the world club challenge game against Penrith, I might be mistaken but he won Man of the Match in that game.

    Cas go back up.

Your right there JasonE, Kain was awarded NL1 young player of the year although he didn't play yesterday. New contracts have been given to: Andrew Henderson, Aaron Smith, Byron Smith, Waine Pryce and Craig Huby. It's essential the club get's it right. Although I hate to say it, a lot of our...

    Cas go back up.

I can sort you a copy if you want mate??? Bad head, don't feel well but it was worth it. Away from on the pitch events, what really made me proud to be a Cas supporter was the fact around 80-90% of our 5-6,000 supporters applauded the Whitehaven Team at the end. Would it have been the same...

Who is favoured to win NL1?

Well, I'm always confident so I'll have to predict a Castleford win this Sunday...I know Halifax have been on a good run of form etc, but they haven't really impressed me that much this season. People will disagree with me but they've lost a few points against mid table teams. It wasn't that...

    Welsh players in Super League

I think Ian Watson (Swinton?) is Welsh as well, Damien Gibson (Halifax) has played fullback for Wales. In SL, players such as Cunningham (St Helens), Briers (Warrington) and O Hare (Huddersfield) are Welsh. But it's open to interpretation, I mean a few seasons ago Castleford's very own Mark...

    Castleford ???

Jason, his first few games he was really strong, gave us great go forward. He's chipped in with a few goals (mainly from the sidelines) but unfortunately he's too injury prone for my liking. Constantly seems to be picking up little knocks here and there. Since he's joined us he's made just 2...

I'd like to make my GB debut.

Who is favoured to win NL1?

It's a nice ground Barrow, they just can't attract crowds or players, whereas Whitehaven (which is smaller) can. With Whitehaven winning at the weekend, Castleford have to hope that Haven lose both their games and Cas win their remaining games against Featherstone and Batley. Likewise...

Warrington v Leeds live in Aus

I'm with JasonE on this one, although recently it may have had a bad impact on Warrington overall it's a great move. I think Warrington will keep Grose and Wood, Appo hasn't impressed me this season. I myself can't wait for the 'Joey games' and if Castleford weren't playing I'd go along to them.

    Castleford ???

Sunday 2nd half was a big improvement. I'm hoping that's a turning point in our season. I think Hull KR, having beaten us in a final and thrashing us at Craven Park now have a mental advantage over us. There are rumours of unrest between players and coach, coach and directors and right now...

Round 11 (2005) Easts Vs Rhinos

The Rhinos Hightown Tiger steamrolls into the opposition... Grounds for concern…Revisited You may remember an article I did a few months ago reporting on the current and planned stadiums of Super League teams. In particular I looked at the growing trend of teams moving away from...

Round 10 (2005) Bulls Vs Rhinos

The Rhino's Hightown Tiger with the double dummy drop off, triple face ball!! Harlequins Calling London Calling To the far away towns Now war is declared And Battle come down London Calling by my favourite band, The Clash. But in Superleague, it will no longer be London Calling, but...
