How did Bird get MotM?? He was nowhere to be seen. Surely Gasnier, Quinn, Wallace were miles ahead of him?
Bird wouldn't have even been in my top 5.

Gasnier, Quinn, Cooper, Wallace, Buderus all had great games.

I personally would have picked Quinn, he was brilliant. Him and Cooper down that left side were unstoppable in attack and defence.

Brent Tate,Cameron Smith,Carl Webb,PJ Marsh to name a few...

No,you're not listening to me,I think Thurston played bad as well but I don't think he should be blamed solely for it when there were others who weren't crap as well.

As in the whole team were useless and that can't possibly all Thurston's fault.
People have the gall to call me biased when there's heaps of Storm fans doing the same with Slater,but that's different right?

How did Brent Tate have a bad game?

No these two I noticed more than others because Slater I had noticed was nervous Vs NZ.
Cam Smith is the captain,and he was non existent at all.

So you noticed these two more but you didn't notice the bloody half back as much? I'm tipping if he didn't wear Cowboys colors outside of origin he would've stuck out like dogs balls as he did to the rest of us :lol:

I can't be bothered quoting everyone when some people are clearly trolling me

Trolling you? We're on a public message board and if nobody replied to anyone's posts ten it'd sort of defeat the purpose. But if you don't want anyone "trolling" you then just don't bother posting, or if you do keep going then stop writing utter drivel. Either way will clear up your trolling problem in no time.

cam smith needs to take a lot of responsibility for the mess that was queensland last night, along with thurston. they didn't stick with the gameplan. they didn't get their forwards over the advantage line. actually, they didn't do anything.

Apparently the Queensland chairman of selectors thinks that Hunt had a great game, and did everything that he was picked to do. I'd hate to see him have a bad game then.

ROFL :crazy:

Seems cutie is always gonna get picked by selectors. I didn't really see him last night either.

Nobody's trolling you - you called people out for bagging Thurston as crap last night and have since backpedalled and admitted the same. No shame in admitting your own player/s are crap... my players were all crap enough to warrant not even being selected... :lol:

He constantly made stupid decisions and wasn't fast enough to do the job put in front of him.
There were also two tries scored because of his errors.

What about his attacking?

Brent Tate made the second most hitups and metres in the QLD team, scored a try, and had the second most runs. You also can't say his line breaks were bad, well you can because they were, but so were the rest of the QLD team only 2 of their team managed a line break. Brent Tate also had the most offloads haha.

Haha, I admit, I'm just biased because hes a Warrior :p

From memory that first try down his wing came as a result of a 2 on 1, might have even been a 3 on 1, so he didn't really have a choice but to come in.

NSW:

Anasta in 5/8th, Bird->Lock, Gallen->Bench, Tupou->out
Gidley in Bench, Hornby->out

Barring injuries, the only change they will make is Gidley in, Hornby out.

They won't want to change a winning team too much.

Even though I don't reckon he should have got it, Bird got MOM at 5/8. He won't be going anywhere.

Wallace was also great at half and Anthony Quinn earnt his wing spot back for game two with ease...

Did anyone rate Hayne on the other wing? I saw one in-goal return worth mentioning but outside that he seemed rather quiet... anyone else got a take on him?

Most of those I've talked to are utterly confused at how Bird got MOM. Regardless, he can play the same game at Lock, Anasta is a better 5/8th. Tupou was non existent and Hornby is sh*t. There should be a spot for Anasta in game 2.

To quote a great man...

"Yes. Different player. Dodging a bullet will do that to you. After you have dodged a few bullets a rugby league ball doesnt look so threatening. I wouldnt be surprised if they started firing guns at players during training"
