Please explain wtf wallace has done wrong pantherz? bird has been teh worst of the halves.

He's not state of origin standard. Simple as that. He was shown up tonight. Andrew Johns and Ricky Stuart great former blues halfbacks are miles better. Matt Orford, Mitchell Pearce or even bloody Brett Finch offer more.

Anasta is a must. Now time to let my bias show. We need genuine props and Perry and Kite should be considered. Some backrowers with footwork and the ability to offload would be good too. I put forward Stewart and Watmough for consideration. Gasnier cant defend, get Lyon in there. And Orford is leading the try assists this year.
I know ive gone overboard but how does a team that was the second best to a hot Melbourne team all last year and is currently leading this years comp, most tries scored, least tries conceded, most metres gained, most completions and probably one of the leading teams in offloads only get one player in Origin

Perry?...lol

Disagree...Wallace couldn't do anything to stop tonight...who could he pass too.

NSW just wern't switched on...clear and simple..And Wallace couldn't do anything to stop it. Can't criticise him when he was under a tremendous amount of pressure. Same as Thurston in game 1...

Perry?...lol

To be fair, Perry has been awesome this past month, and most of the year. Making huge metres, his defence close to the line has been great and he's been getting quite a few offloads away that have led to tries. Gave away that bonehead penalty against Newcastle but that's been about his only blemish so far.

Fitzy was easily NSW's best. Never stopped trying the old bugger :)

Brett White is crap, so is Turner.

How truly great is Greg Inglis though ? He's a freak ... that fend is amazing. His reach is so large, he'd probably make a good boxer.

Far too good Qld. Congrats and well done.

NSW need better halves, i'd go for Orford and Anasta. Orford deserves at least one shot imo.

Never liked Wallace as a player and my opinion doesn't change because of some flukey games for the Broncos and one good NSW origin game. Also my opinion has been shaped of him from many poor performances for Penrith in 2007. People says he looks calm and collected but I say he only plays well when the rest of the team is. No ability to lift a team. Give Matt Orford a go or get a proper halves combo in Anasta/Pearce that know each other inside and out.

Oh and the ref wasnt great but it didnt cost NSW the game, we were sh*thouse and the rednecks played well, simple as that.
HOWEVER
Its the inconsistencies that piss you off. Like the tackle where thurston stripped a nsw player of the ball and the ref stuck with the original call of knock on, then later mason stripped the queenslander and the ref reversed the nsw feed to penalty for queensland.
Inglis pass to boyd was flat at best and i still dont think hannant got the ball down.

Fortunately these things ahppen in a game where NSW doesnt look like scoring so we still would have lost.

I agree. Quit blaming the ref everyone. NSW had no backline movements at all and our forwards were totally dominated.

the problem is i don't think rushing anasta or worse, anasta and pearce, into game 3 and expecting miracles is going to do anyone any favours.
