Was the ref watching anyone other the Canberra in the 2nd half.
did Canberra get a penaly in the 2nd half?
Didn't billy slater play well, the Storm player who did.
Raiders played well, should take plenty of positives out that one.

Refing was well f**ked tonight.

I've lost count how many times the storm get soft penalties when under the pump. Most of the time things that have been let go all game.

And if Best's try isn't a blatant example for benefit of the doubt then we need to scrap the rule. How can he be ruled to be out or in? Benefit of the doubt anyone?

I know, did anyone catch the 2006 GF it's ridiculous how biased the NRL is towards the storm something must be done.

Well i think it's fair to say the better team overall lost. Not because of the ref like some Raiders fans will have you believe though. They'll be more intent on blaming the refs when they should be applauding the excellent efforts of their team.

Didn't deserve the win but at the same time i'd rather win ugly than lose pretty. We'd want to improve a sh*tload or the Cowpats will give us a bit of a touch up Saturday night.
at least Crocker hasn't lost his magic touch, we've still not lost with him in the side.

I was really happy with how the raiders went tonight. If we continue to play like this the rest of the year, we're a real chance for a top 8 or 6 position. Having Dobbo in the side was great tonight, he really added some extra fire power to the team. Afew stupid plays by Carney, but overall I'm pretty happy

Any other side in the competition that's green lights benifit of the doubt.

Here we go, the usual raiders whingefest, heck, even ex players get in on the act, did you hear belcher going on and on and on and on and on about it

you're probably right, but you just didn't have enough firefighters on hand to put out the fire Bellamy lite under the Storm, when he lights one you'd better fan the flames.

I also heard Gorden Tallis say it should've been benifit of the doubt. Remind me when he played for the Raiders again?

They conveniently forget the try that was gifted to them on the back of a very very VERY dubious stripping penalty.
10-4 at HT puts a whole new complexion on the game

Ahhh so any other sides fans are allowed to question refereeing performances, but raiders fans arent?

There was no evidence that colin bests arm was out the shot before the ball and arm were on the ground and line respectively, if thats not a clear cut case of benefit for the attacking side ill eat my hat collection.

As for the ruck penalties, we were doing nothing different than the storm, best being onside was within his rights to jump from the line and play at the ball, but no...apparently being onside is a penalty now too.

That enough for you callan??

There were plays in the second half where players were getting clean ball from dummy half, less then a meter away from the ruck, and still getting hit as they received it. This has been happening whenever the strong sides get any momentum for the last 5 years, ever since Stuart invented it. Its impossible for defensive line to go 10+ meters in less then a second.

You Raiders fans should be bloody proud of your boys tonight.

To shellshock a side like that and get out to such a lead when you were given no chance at all showed a lot of guts.

In the end it just looked like the Raiders put in so hard at the start that they had nothing left in the tank in the final 20.

I reckon if you throw in your inspirational leaders in Tongue and Withers to lead the way at the back end of that game and you might've held on, but alas.

no but he did play under Bennett and one of the main things you learn while playing under him is how to whinge.

Arm definitely out, ball still up/ not grounded , clearly evident on high angle replay during post match summary with Gary Bitcher, Gordy & Whizz

I am jm, to go so close with such an understrength team is a great effort.

Kinda tired of being shotdown by f**kwits whenever I raise questions over decisions though, but sh*t happens

i'm proud of the raiders. we probably should have won, but we showed heart and character when no one expected us to. i could talk about the refereeing and all the rest of it, but in the end, we probably snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Fair dinkum, how ordinary were the Storm tonight? The Raiders played out of their skin and all Canberra fans should be mightily impressed with the performance they came up with.

The ref didn't cost the Raiders the game, Superboy Carney did when he failed to find touch when they led 16-4. He finds touch, they probably go close to scoring in the ensuing set.
